Have you notice the majority of movies that has to do with end of the world, such as The Fifth Element, deep impact, 2012, and much more always have a black president. Now we have a Black President = Obama. The end of the world might happen verysoon!!
Obama is the antichrist!
When our Lord JESUSCHRIST returns, He (the antichrist/obama) will say that is an ALIEN INVASION
Repent and accept JESUSCHRIST as your Saviour and Lord , the WRATH OF GOD upon this stupid world is very near!!
Orcs are veery one-dimensional, but then again rarely do other one-dimensional ideas shine like that... When you think Warhammer, Warcraft and maybe even LOTR - these guys spring to mind first. They are awesome and stuff of genius! Badass paint job too, you should get a Golden Demon or something =)
impressive ive seen these at a shop and their tiny..guess you put in alot of time painting this good talant and passion..i would'nt mind getting into this sought of stuff...too bad their expensive
thanks tuvaluman, yeah they are very expensive especially games workshop miniatures. painting wise there are others out there that are cheaper and worth looking into like Reaper miniatures. I rarely buy from shops, i mostly get mine from ebay now becasue its a lot cheaper.
@gazeebo88 my easy way is just to pain chaos black and do the highlights with boltgun metal, then after, put tiny bit of boltgun metal on ur brush, and just drybrush over it quikly, then it gets a metaly shine over it..
Scorched brown all over first, then respective highlights using Bestial Brown, Bleached Bone, Skull white. Paint small triangles from where the tusk meets the Armour and outward strokes towards the tips of the tusks, water you paint down to ensure a even smooth coat, and remember that the paint looses almost 50% of its luminosity when it drys. so if it looks really bright when you paint it on by the time its dry it will only be half as bright, most water based paints are like this.
I just used boltgun metal on the edges where I saw fit and highlighted that with a little with mithril silver. don't be afraid to let the brush loose with it :)
non metal metallics, basicly its using greys to create a steel look or browns to create gold. if u do the technique right ur miniatures will look 10 times more awesome, but if mess up they will look like they are either wielding a stone or a turd weapon:p
oH I see :) ..there not NMM then, I do like that brown over metal tho check out watch?v=vyhQ4U-trtI ...I just used bolt and mithril over plain old black.

I am soon going to start painting 20 black orcs, and I wonder.
How did you do the black? It looks very metal-ish so I assume it's not just chaos black?
gazeebo88 2 years ago
i would assume it's painted Chaos black first with chain mail or bolt gun highlights. The shiny bits may well have been glossed?
CCrule113 2 years ago
yep exactly like that but I only used gloss on the axe handle. the rest is treated with matt varnish.
supermassvanity 2 years ago
yeah just chaos black, thin and smooth layers.

@gimroth18 Thanks =) I've been doing this for a while now already and it works great.
I basecoat them with Chaos Black spray, put some metal paint on edges to give an edgy look and then drybrush the overall model with metal.
