  • THIS FILM WAS MADE IN 1943 ;WHEN THERE WAS NO CLAIMS OF OWNER SHIP OVER FILMS AND SONGS .NOW SOME FALSE CLAIMS OF OWNER SHIP OF THIS SONG HAS SPRUNG UP FROM SHEMAROO,EROS AND ETC THESE ARE FALSE CLAIMS SO YOU TUBE SHOULD NOT REMOVE THIS SONG DUE TO SUCH CLAIMS

I THINK SOME POLITICIANS WHO WANT TO KEEP THE TENSIONS BETWEEN INDIA AND PAKISTAN BOILING HOT ARE ALSO PART OF THE SCHEME TO REMOVE THIS SONG FROM INTERNET

THIS SONG SHOWS ONCE INDIA WAS ONE NATION;AND NOT FOUR; AS IT IS NOW

  • This film was made in 1943. This song was a challenge to the Britishers to leave India.

  • You know what, when this song came, british banned it,cause this song used to fire up people for freedom.great song.[iminent=HJYizlR59l2]

  • I am and was always a strong proponent of one India. This song was just about the time right after India and Pakistan's independence from the British. The words of this song brings the recent attack on Indian soil then.

  • @TheSantosh84

Are you referring to movie as in the UTUBE or otherwise..i did not pull the video clip and do not know the reason...

  • I am a practicing Muslim and brought up in pakistan but I was searching this song since a long time on utube. I heard it several times from my father's records in my childhood who himself born in India in a family converted to islam and migrated to pakistan in his childhood. I rememeber verse door hato and qutub minar hamarah he. yahna hamarah taj mahal he aur qutub Minarah he.

India used to be a very tolerant society under muslim rule. I feel my roots in India.

  • and India is tolerant even today. Try listening to the other song from same movie..Ghar Ghar Me Diwali Mere Ghar Me Andhera ...same movie.

  • @tazeenhasan Dear Tazeen, do you know how tolerant India is now? It certainly seems you know very well how tolerant it was 350 years ago (that is when it was last under Aurangzeb's muslim rule). Very tolerant indeed then! Now of course all minorities are being killed daily. In fact in the way you would love to put it, at this rate they should not even exist!! Pakistan on the other hand is truly secular and free.

  • @asit1 keep telling that to urself u porkistani terrorist.....pak being secular and free is a biiiig joke.....pak is a terrorist country and the world knows it,ur country shd get wiped off from this world so that a lot of terrorism comes down.....and that bloody aurangzeb was an arsehole....the worst of all the mughals....get ur facts right first u losers and good for nothing breed

  • @tazeenhasan India is still a very tolerant society and under the muslim rule the muslim rulers forcibly converted innumerable Hindus into Islam n killed countless those who dint accept the conversion, temples were destroyed, ancient scriptures were burnt, pilgrim tax was enforced on Hindu devotees .....very tolerant i guess

  • What a great song....Ever proud of all those martyrs who fought for Independence... Lovely song!!!

  • (What a song!) I live in Scotland and have been trying to get this film on DVD for ages. My Grandad (who was from India) used to play this all the time. I only have his old Betamax collection and found Kismat but don't want to keep playing the video over and over.

This song should be sung by every Freedom Fighter the world over. Thanks for the post.

  • I am so happy that someone so far away from India loves this song and recommends to hear it everyday. I agree totally. Mumtaj Shanti is the actress in Kismet. I have Kismet in VHS but not in DVD. I am sure one can get it in Mumbai, India.

  • i hope this song is available in audio and video cds.. would really like to buy an OC....

  • I truly doubt that. I had to copy it from my movie, so the quality is pretty poor. sorry - but I am glad you liked it.

  • I was searching for the video of this song since a long time. Truly inspiring. The music composed by Anil Biswas and lyrics by Kavi Pradeep. One should realise that the film was made and released during the British rule & hence these words were added "Tum Na Kisike Aage Jhukna German Ho Ya Japani " to fool the British (Second World War was on) Thanks a lot & God Bless You. Please post more of such rare songs.

  • Thanks for your comments. Truly I feel the same as you did. India should not be intimitated by others, and these were thought even then, in 1940s. I wish to choreograph this song with new players and probably the same settings. Any ideas? I live in Houston, Texas

  • Plus, the words, "Is dharti pe kadam uthana atyachaar tumhara hai"..How sachot (true) are these words..

  • My dad has this on his 78 records; love the song, thanks for posting.

  • OMG! We used to sing this in school! Thank you so so so much for this.

  • Thanks for your response. I love this song as it speaks of the pain of division of India.. Truly those must be very bad days for people, though I realize the song is a good spirited one..Thanks

    Dilipjee

  • Please do not throw that record away. If you have a list of all his records, please send me the list. I am always looking for old songs..Thanks for your comment.

  • My mistake, my dad had this back in Uganda; when we left all his records were left behind.
