@devildog4lifeurr There are ways about it, but just as if a british citizen wanted to join the US Army, he (or she) would first have to gain residency and eligibility to work in the UK... also, there are different bands of roles depending where you originate from, for example, if you were from the republic of ireland you can't join the infantry, but you can join something like the royal signals... There may be similar circumstances to being born in the states...

The vast majority of our Commonwealth Soldiers are from Fiji, Africa or the Carribean. I'm not sure on what the recruiting process for yourself would be, you'll no doubt have to be interviewed and recieve a medical in the UK but before you start booking flight just google British Army Recruitment and you can begin the process there.
If i was to sign up at 15 7 months is it? For the Army Air Corps, would i go to Harrogate until the 42 weeks are over ,then go to Pirbright is it to commence phase 1?
@black39gold No you would got to AFC harrogate for 42 weeks yes, but in those 42 weeks you do your phase one training. Then when you pass out you will go to where ever the AAC trade phase 2 training is.
if you are bow legged or funny legged dont even bother applying. you won't even make it pass the medical and funy legged and bow legged people do not have the right posture for drill. some people are just haven't got the right shaped legs for drill leg raises. foot arch problems also forget it. you gotta be a good specimen for the selection. also rounded shoulders you might as well forget bothering. you just wont have a relaxed posture for drill and parades. you cant help ur shoulder shap

I remember when i went to Catterick on a look at life week. I observed a group of soldiers in training marching towards the main accomodation block in full gear and those training caps they wear until the 6 weeks mark.
I was intimidated. Then again anyone would be in a suit watching 30-40 men with rifles and camo marching towards you.

Japan continued fighting after the Allies defeated the Axis powers in Europe. The US gave Japan warning and told them to surrender, or face an unparalleled destructive force. They refused to surrender, so we bombed them. It was a controversial decision, so I won't debate the morality of it, but I do know that Japan was the last Axis power to surrender.

@MrNiagaraaaaaaaaaa Yes you can as you belong to a Commonwealth Nation. Admittedly I've only known a handful of serving Canadians throught my years. The vast majority of our Commonwealth Soldiers are from Fiji, Africa or the Carribean. I'm not sure on what the recruiting process for yourself would be, you'll no doubt have to be interviewed and recieve a medical in the UK but before you start booking flight just google British Army Recruitment and you can begin the process there.

I remember when i went to Catterick on a look at life week. I observed a group of soldiers in training marching towards the main accomodation block in full gear and those training caps they wear until the 6 weeks mark.
I was intimidated. Then again anyone would be in a suit watching 30-40 men with rifles and camo marching towards you.

Not meaning to start an argument, but the US is the #1 nuclear power while the UK is #3. Furthermore, many American soldiers have previous experience with weapons, while most British do not. Finally, you all were unable to defeat the IRA, and that was a domestic problem, not a real war.

Japan continued fighting after the Allies defeated the Axis powers in Europe. The US gave Japan warning and told them to surrender, or face an unparalleled destructive force. They refused to surrender, so we bombed them. It was a controversial decision, so I won't debate the morality of it, but I do know that Japan was the last Axis power to surrender.

The Brittish army only fought in-line formations and soon were exposed to gorrilla warfare by the colonial americans. its a typo. you can be as clever as you like picking up on one mistake from typing, but that still doesnt change the fact that a. Yeah, I am sure your foreign ass hangs out with a lot of American soldiers. Sure, we have thousands in UK because we basically occupy your country, but they aren't going to lower themselves to socialize with a local peasant. Americans tend to avoid the local primitives in the countries we occupy unless we need a blow job or something, then we pull out a fiver.
