mines doesnt leak that bad just in the mirrors sometimes but it dries quickly, the car is stuck in first gear because i left it in gear when i turned it off now it wont select neutral and wont come out of gear even when moving the gear stick, going to have to remove the casing and do it manually

checked all the fuses, checked the ecu, checked the connection to the speedo im sure its stuck in gear

If it was a gearbox problem, it would show 3 lines, not 1.
It is a communications error.
Check under your carpets for water, Roadsters are bad for leaks which can obviously damage electrics.

mines is doing this just now but its a roadster and will not start :(:(

A Roadster is still a smart, all the electrics are the same.
The description states the car won't start so it's the same as your problem.
Check your fuses, it will probably be the ECU fuse.
