Smarter. More proffesional. Take away the pouting and standing/stalking newsreaders. Bring back the clock. Bring back a subtle studio. In fact bring back Michael Buerke..I like my news austere and delivered like its the end of the world...do't forget the non-LOUD ties.
the headlines were much better before they turned the bass down on everything (thunderclaps, title music etc)

I would say it's gone down hill since Anna Ford "retired". An excellent newsreader and still looked really good for her age.
