A true master .i live in the malmö -copenhagen . mr Kontra was concert master led a quartet and appeared as soloist. a couple of years ago I heard a recital of his in malmö and was stillovewhelmed by the richness of his musical culture and true fiddlers temperament in a rare combination.This clip reminded me of an episode in the 80-is whenI went to hear Ida Haendel play a masterful Sibelius and after pause heard mr Kontra as concertmaster play a no less masterful dance macabre (Saint -Seans)

I like his sound too, but I'm not so sure about the interpretation. There are things that I don't like very much, like the very beginning of the rondo... why doing this at the tip? It's lacks crisp...
