To explain it look Lexus and Infiniti, those brands were created by Toyota and Nissan, never were independent companies. There are many cases: Mini isn't a cheap brand of BMW, Ferrari isn't a sporty Fiat, Jaguar isn't a luxury Tata or Lamborghini isn't a very fast Audi (Vw doesn't own Lamborghini, Audi does).

No guys in Eastern European countries the regular 2.4 A6 starts at 45k... So if u want to get one of those 3.2 quatro S-line, it may get to $110.000 The A8 is around 150-200k....) The cars are much cheaper in US...

In the UK the Audi A6 starts at around £25k-£26k which is around 40k USD whereas in the US it starts at $45,200 so over in Europe it is cheaper than it is here in the US which makes sence seeing as it is a european car. Alot of cars like the Ford Mustang are more expensive in the UK than they are in the US. When a car manufacturer imports a car they have to pay taxes to the government. Look at Land Rovers, more Expensive in the US than UK.

The best engine in this car is the 3.0 TDI quattro , you may not like the sound but its really good, you don't have to stop at a gas station realy often, has a pretty good performance and the quattro makes it really hard to get suck in snow or similar stuff

The 'ECON' button says on/off on it. If you hold it down for 5 seconds it will turn the Climate control off. Also i prefer the Audi nav system-I hate touch screen (my opinion). The car is great ( i know because i own a top of the range a6 and i drive it every day).

I like those BBS AUDI wheels. Another upgrade would be the rear diffuser and S6 grille and bumper...

Audi's synthetic rubber surfaces rub and flake off in only a few years, aging the interior far too quickly for a "luxury" car. Just take a look at any used Audi and you'll see it. my dad has an 08' A6 3.2 and its terrible, the car is falling apart, should a 50k car be falling part new? trim and things are falling off, gas gauges tell you you have 300 miles left then goes to 0 when it feels like it, awhile ago the water pump went and some other things like the cigarette lighters all dont work things like this shouldnt be going wrong, it way overpriced, id rather have a new chevy impala ss

Yes..I agree crazyfvck. Actually I currently have an A6 4.2 2002 model. It's the 4th Audi I've owned. I first owned the A6 2.8. Great comfort and stability in the snow but lacked power. I upgraded to the 4.2 and I fell in love. Hell I've hung in there with a 2003 M5 and Corvette on the NJ Turnpike. That 4.2 engine is a beast. Combine that with all four wheels gripping the road and I tell you it can hang with most cars. The thing is it weighs just over 4000 pounds. Crazy heavy.

The Audi is yet to make its mark on the market. The BMW has succesfully deemed itself to be the ultimate luxury sports sedan for people who can afford it. Merc is the ultimate luxury status sedan.
