@mwgcubs thats where real strength and power come from. not from those faggoty ass looking idiots who stare at their ass cheeks flexing in the mirror all day.
post a video without using a straps. straps don't make u an accomplished lifter. i just did this 2 wks ago without bumper plate no chalk no strap no belt. remember perfect form is also more important than big numbers
@mindstrongandfree pretty much the same benefits as regular deadlifting with straps :) They also work your back muscles at a slightly different angle, help strengthen the obliques, and grip (if done w/o straps). Plus, it's a badass exercise.
first of all I can do this too and I know how hard you worked to get here but isn't the point of a onehanded deadlift doing it without a strap so you don't have any grip aid at all,not even alternated grip assistance?
Learn how to place the barbell on the ground and not slam it down like a gigantic faggot. hurr durr..everyone look at me as i make as much noise a possible
60 lb kettlebell...and i would be surprised if he could close a 2.5...it takes some pretty crazy and hard SPECIFIC training to close the grippers you mentioned.
@goodtimes616 I was going to tell you to STFU until I saw your 3.5 close, that was nuts dude. One thing I can say is that I closed a 2.5 right out of the package, before I started any sort of grip regimen, and this guy puts me to shame with some of his lifts.
@kungfujellybean I was just being realistic, although an impressive video, that was a 27 kg bell and he was using straps for his deads so gripwise not really incredible but it wasn't the objective of his demonstration ...and if you could close a 2.5 out of the package without any grip training, you have some crazy and rare potential...google gripboard.
ok guys train like this guy! Grip(without the straps), full body complex, explosiveness, fat loss, way less injury, joint health and tendon strengthening all in this video. increase weight in very small increments ,eating clean and training sometimes daily, not to failure. ...and you will be beasts like us!
Amazing strength. Whenever I see people like this I wonder: how does this translate in everyday life; do you pull doors off the hinges when you open them, break pencils when you write with them, and so on?
I knew a guy that looked like him and he lifted a fucking Corvette engine from a raised platform. THis was amazing! Your dexterity with the 60lbs. ball there was something else. The way you switched from one hand to the other obviously took dedication, you don't quit, that's for sure.
That kid in the green is in awe.
GaMeOuTtAcOnTrOl 2 months ago
yeah but single arm deads are to build grip so using straps makes this excercise SORTA pointless
Genosiidez 2 months ago
@Genosiidez would'nt go that far. its still a nice core/hipstrength exercise. but you're right, its firstly supposed to train the grip
krautstampflsepp 2 months ago
He's using straps. Straps is like using two hands when you're only using one.
khalsasikh 8 months ago
@khalsasikh lol not at all, straps helps with grip only, not strength, this guy is just making it look easy, but that's some strong shit

Something tells me this guy could close a COC #4 with ease. Or at least a 3.5, he was clowning on that 60KG kettlebell.

You fucking idiot, they're bumper plates, not rubber weights, bumper plates are just normal plates with a rubber edging.

bro math... 3x45 lb bumpers + 2x45lb plates + what looks like a 10 and a 5lb plate on either side. sounds like 520 to me.
