I enjoy animation. The old school animations from before the turn of the new millennium are still memorable because back then animators actually tried. Maybe it was a lack of sophisticated technology or a lot of time on their hands, but the old stuff had possibility and later in life you look back and appreciate that. You give any generation something like this and all you'll do is rattle their minds with stupidity and create a type of personality glitch

I know what they would say that this show is directed to kids, but let's think about that: Is this what we want to expose our kids to? A generation gap maybe, but honestly the concepts of this cartoon are a perfect example of why cartoons today are withering away into a hollowed husk. Filling it with butt jokes and toilet humor for a cheap giggle. It gets old. The original was smart and had a lasting impact!!

I always find it funny that teenagers watch TV-Y7 cartoons and hate on them. I mean come on, these cartoons are meant for children. Its like watching The Wonderpets and saying that its too childish, when in reality that's the point of the show. This show is supposed to be stupid, that's its humor. If you don't like it, well, just leave your opinions to yourself. If you think its so stupid lets see you make an animated series called "George of the Jungle" all hand-drawn with a great voice cast.

I never watched the original show, but I have seen this.

The show is totally messed up. Plot points are all over the place and no consistency whatsoever. Doesn't help that it's not very funny, either, and the animation is quite stiff and bland.

This is just plain proof that cartoons back in the day were a lot more fun than today's cartoons. Not saying all the new ones are bad, but I can't figure out any show with or without nostalgia glasses that can even come to this level of bad.

The theme song contains the line "While Fella and Ursula stay in step." George never seemed to recognize that his mate was female, and often referred to her as "fella". Hence the double-vision effect of the title animation: Fella and Ursula are really just two names for the same person.

WTF??? I grew up with George of the Jungle, and, believe me, this is not it. First of all, George had a body builder's physique. Secondly, Ursula was built like May West with curves in all the right places, and there was no other girl. Thirdly, Ape was a whole lot smarter than he is portrayed in this piece of garbage. Finally, what the hell did they do to Shep? Try to get some videos of the REAL George of the Jungle.
