hello there, I'm a 17 yr vet of the bwca, just wondering what lakes you guys were on and what kind of bait you were using, going up memorial day weekend through baker lake, any suggestions would be appreciated.
For Lake Trout: trolling w/Little Cleo spoons, heavy jig w/crawler fished near bottom. Most folks know it's not proper to ask the names of lakes. Good luck.
Doesn't get much better than the BWCA does it? What a great looking trip you guys had. Oh ya, the cold can suck, but nice stringers.
Only one suggestion. If you wear your life jacket on the outside of your raingear, well, if you fall in your rain gear fills with water and makes you heavier/less bouyant. The only way to get it off is take the life jacket off, then the rain gear, then put life jacket back on Xtremely difficult, cold water? nearly impossible. Now, where is your gear? Floating away
Nice Video!!! I really liked it. Great Fish, I am going up to the bwca in 6 days. I hope I can catch lake trout.

For walleyes: jigs & leeches or crawlers.
