Once again it is clearly visible that the critics are idiots. They have absolutely no clue. Have you ever heard one of these critics explain WHY he thinks the song was not good or why a song he praises were good? No.
The Denniz Pop or Max Martin songs are very well composed songs, with beautiful melodies, perfect arrangements and a fantastic produced sound.
What an interesting documentary. I have allways been curious about what and who was behind Ace of base. It is very interesting too to listen to the critic, and his point of view. Apparently swedish critics were as harsh with Abba in the 70´s as they were with Ace of base in the 90´s... and the music of both groups are still around... I wonder who was and is right... Thanks for posting
I kind of missed something. Why did the swedish people say that this was like a slap to their face? In other words... why did they hate Ace of Base SOOOOOOO much?? Just cause they weren't getting 22 mill on THEIR debut album doesn't mean they have to rain on someone else's parade.
Ace Of Base's sound is getting used a lot lately Ive noticed....I mean check out Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" that is pure Ace of base but in today's sound!
@rnbsteenstar - haha! when i saw this video, I was thinking the very same thing. I was thinking... "Well, let me remember this label because i will NOT sign with them.." LOL!
Not for another 10 years until 90s trends circled back around...if you look at Max Martin, even he's adapted to a more current 80s revival sound. Pop culture essentially repeats itself every 30 years on the mark. In turn, the 90s (esp. the late 90s) began to emulate the disco and funk sounds that became prevalent in the late 60s going into the 70s. It's really quite intriguing when you think about it. I wonder if the cycle will ever break. I dread the moment shoulder pads come back.

I guess I know not to sign up with Telegram records! I'm sure I could still get the funk euro-pop sound in my songs if I request it.

Damn! Can anyone provide english subtitles? I really want to know about Cheiron! I love their work!

English subtitles ARE available!!! Even the info says that. Use the lower right red icon to activate it if the subtitles don't appear automatically.

Thank you for putting up all this stuff on Cheiron Productions and the people behind it. I've been missing info on this fascinating era of pop music.
