Are any of those DVDs have any learning information on chiller systems, cooling towers etc? I am in the process of studying for my 1st for my 1st Refrigeration license and need a visual to refresh my memory. I youse to operate a 2ton chiller under the chief engineer. Any suggestion as to where to look for learning DVDs. I mostly did the maintenance and operation on roof tops and heat pumps.
Hi Dr. Z., Do I have interest to buy the DVDs but all the dvds are in whole and since I do to buy them?? Am I from Venezuela but I travel on December 19 to Orlando Florida, who is the cost of all the DVDs?? thanks for the information.
i have a heil unit and have replaced the compasator, fan motor, and inside thermostat. the compressor is running fine but the outside fan will stop after a couple hours even after replacing with new motor. what might be the problem now. will blow cool air until the outside fan cuts off
@eabrooks1234 Condenser coil is clogged or very dirty not allowing enough air flow to cool the condenser fan motor or someone put the wrong fan blade on.
First off thank you for posting your videos. I am an Auto Tech. I am master certified and I enjoy working on auto a/c. I am looking for a change, it is getting harder and harder to make good money in my field. I am interested in HVAC. In your opinion would it be an easy transition for me? I am good with electrical diag and mechanical. I understand temp and pressure relationships. How much do you have in tools? I have 50K and always buying more!! Thanks
@ktumbleweed I'd say that the transition to working on stationary systems should be relatively easy for you. You can get started with about one thousand dollars worth of tools. You probably already have most of them. You might want to check out your local community college to see if they offer HVACR training.
@DrZarkloff Thanks for you input. I will def check into community college. One more question if you don't mind. I have had some medical issues lately. I have seizure disorder (a form of epilepsy) I am on medication to control it. do you foresee this causing me any issues? I am supposed to stay off ladders and high places... etc etc. What do you think? How often do you need to climb on a ladder??
Hi, Dr, i can recall that i saw a long time a go a video of you asking for black cooling engineers. I am a teacher at a technical school in the Netherlands antilles and would like to gain some hands on experience with you for a few weeks. Please contact at my email address artizimm@gmail.com and maybe we can arrange something

Is it me, or are reversing valves a pain in the ass to change? I mean the commercial ones, with 3/4 discharge, opposite (3) 1 1/8 copper stubs. So easy to overheat! They need to design a better valve, with unions or something.
hi..can you make a video about on how to hook up a smoke detector to a furnace...vent detector air flex model 4120a,,,now municipalities are requiring to install one in the basement if you have a kitchen...THANKS
Dr.Zarkloff,Thanks for all this information.I went to school about 2 years ago.I haven't worked in the field.I lost a lot of knowledge.Your videos are like a refresher course. Thanks!God bless
hello Dr Z. i appreciate your concern for people of color to learn the business. i am applying for classes as we speak, thanks for the information you share, we need more people offering help in the world, like you. keep changing lives
Exactly: Who cares. If somebody wants to do this occupation who cares as long as the job is done right.

hey dr Z im in class today and the instructor says that a lot of the guys out there in ac only use dry bulb and that thats the wrong way he says today manufactures want you to use wet bulb how do you feel about this
i was reading the comments; thanks Dr. you have been a nice and help full resource in my process of learning HVAC, at this I only deal with heat pump (electrical), thanks for your time and your knowledge and more important your desire to help and serve people.
I agree with Xaves511. it's a lot of hard work so you'll have to find people to help you, or you could pitch the idea to some production company. You have the talent to make this big if you go through the right channels.
Believe it or not, you can use your IT talents in the HVAC industry. We have to be electricians, plumbers, carpenters, electronics techs, sheetmetal mechanics, and computer network techs all rolled into one.
Most of the HVAC techs that work for the school board have their Microsoft cerification. It's so tough to get a secure job in IT that they just stay in the HVAC industry.

@eabrooks1234 You need to see if the blower relay is calling for the fan to run. You could even have a bad blower relay.

dimasdeleon83 10 months ago
@dimasdeleon83 Yes. Many of the HVAC parts stores have someone there who is a qualified Section 608 EPA proctor.

@666alilthrowedoff666 Yes. You'll need to buy the study guide first so that you can study it before taking the test.
