  • love this song, amazing band!

  • mission from google lol

  • roger miller put on a lot of weight :(

THIRTY years later and they're still amazing

  • of all the reuinited bands out there, they rocked the house. Blew me the hell away.

  • What the fuck. Dude has bad hearing. He doesn't want to go totally deaf. So what if he has to wear ear muffs?

  • I wasn't slamming Roger Miller at all, I was applauding him. I'm a musician myself, and I have definitely noticed a loss in my range of hearing over the years. That he endorses hearing safety is cool, that he does it with ginormous rifle range earphones is even cooler!

  • Playing with giant earmuffs to *gasp* protect hearing! Now THAT'S punk rock!

  • You foob :P He is using them as a monitor..

Musicians cant hear the music nearly as good as the audience.. Hence, the speakers are IN FRONT of the scene, and they cant be behind, because that would most likely create feedback.. So, its simple so he can hear the other guys and such..

  • Do your research. "In 1983, after releasing their only full-length studio record Vs., the group disbanded due to Miller's worsening tinnitus, attributed in large part to their notoriously loud live performances -- during their farewell tour, Miller took to augmenting his usual small foam earplugs with rifle-range earphones onstage."-Wiki

    Pwned.

  • agreed. this is the reason the band more or less disbabnded. i'm surprised he even came back. wonderful to see that they're playing again. one of the best bands to come out of Boston in my oppinio, along sode the modern lovers..

  • I'm going to see MOB in Boston in two weeks, yeah baby, YEAH!

  • Mission of Burma: The greatest gift to the world that not many know of. Seen them live, still have all their CDs, bonus tracks. Most important band of all time.

  • Thats cool . I used to see them all the time at Cantones and that other dyke bar on milk street . They are great !They always had the best sound.

  • Mission of Burma is the greatest band of all time. BTW, they ARE playing "Dirt" live onstage in the video, but the actual soundtrack is frm the album OffOnOff. Thier website has good vids.

  • Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :)

    Amazing this site

  • I have it live at the Living Room in Providence, RI. It's a Mpeg from my digital. I would have posted it, but the sound sux-very overmodulated.
