@pletcgm there are two trains that leave Durango. first one gets there in aboout 3.5 hours. second half hour later. only advice is train on a constant up hill for at least 30 miles. I trained up Sandia Crest at least 3 times before i attempted IHBC. Good luck.
Cool... feel free to post on your FB if you have one. Came up from Albuquerque. I was able to beat the second train and I knock off 50 minutes off last years time. Good ride!
@mariodebarrio Nice! 2012 will be my first year in the Iron Horse. I have downloaded from Racermate the course for my Computrainer. Am I correct that I will have to do the 49 miles in 3 hours in order to beat the train?
Mario, Hey dude, thanks for shooting this. I must have started very close to you as my pace line was also going 28mph up the valley. You have me in your video at the top of Coal Bank - last frame, far right - the guy in the orange shorts, yellow helmet, white T shirt under an IHBC jersey, holding a cup in each hand. Your video gives me the chance to live the race all over again. WAY FUN!! Where are you from in NM?
