Maybe it's not real, but it is possible and not so hard to make. The most annoying part would be dissasembling the cocpit, but after this you have to drag thick cables ( motor starter uses high value of current) to lighter and put monostable switch under the lighter instead of heat spring. VOILA!

Yeah. He is turning that key off camera for sure. I seen a setup like this before that really worked. You started similar to this video. You put in key and turn key on then push what looks like a cigarette lighter to start it. It's an anti-theft thing. BUT to turn the engine OFF you had to turn off the key. Amazing the fake stuff I have seen on youtube in the last couple of months. FAKE should be deleted.

actually this is quite possible, I've seen this done on a BMW before. It's really quite simple to wire up. You rewire the stock wiring from the starter solenoid to have the pos go straight to the cig lighter, when you press the cig lighter in it completes the circuit and thus initializes the starter. This is not fake people, rather you want to believe it or not.

why do you think this is not real ? its so easy to do . if the lighter is in a plastic dash . remove the ground wire from the lighter socket and run a new wire from the socket ground to the starter relay . the lighter element has low ohms so it acts as a switch . press the lighter and vroooooom ! just don't forget to bend the contacts in the socket a little to keep the lighter from sticking down and ruining the starter

i had a friend with something similar to this, it wasn't his cigarette lighter tho it was a button he mounted next to his shifter but as for security.. no you don't have it XD all you had to do was hook up 12v to it and you could press the button and it would start up.

The best security i know of is cut the wire that goes to the fuel pump under the carpet and sill (if its fitted close to the fuel tank), join each end of the cut wire to one end of twin core wire. Now run the wire to a blank switch in the dash, go to a scrap yard get a fog light switch with the plug on the back of it and put it in the blank hole. Now connect the twin core wires to the new plug in a way that connect the circuit when you turn the fog light on. You now have a great killer switch!

This is a very easy thing to do to any car. On the back of every ignition barrel is about 4 wires (sometimes more), an earth, a switch live (first stop), ignition (second stop) and the starter wire (third stop that springs back to second stop.

All you do is cut the starter wire from the ignition barrel, and run it with a bit of wire extension over to the cigarette lighter behind the dash. Then wire it up so as the lighter is pushed in, it connects the circuit and hey presto it fires up.
