An interesting list, though I can't help but feel there was too much of a lack of animated films, especially considering the staggering artistic heights they reached this decade.
I am still conducting my own list (I see no rush to do it at the immediate start of the new decade), but I actually think I may have to separate animated films from live-action ones, mostly to give some of the live-action ones a chance.
But good all around choices. I loved The Dark Knight.
Love the top 10 minus the tenenbaums (i tried to like but couldn't).
I will NEVER forget my experience seeing Children of Men in theatre with a friend. Neither of us knew anything about it- just went in curious... and were blown away with how visceral the experience was.
If I could suggest a #3 replacement it would be Linklater's Before Sunset. Has one of the best endings I've ever seen.
I really wish I saw Children of Men in theatres. That one continuous shot when he's trying to rescue the pregnant woman is astounding.
Ah! That movie totally slipped my mind. I love that one. Now, those are some impressive continuous shots. You're right too. That ending is pretty perfect. Thanks for watching, Jason!
I haven't seen a lot of your movies, and haven't heard of a few of them, but a pretty good list, if I may say so myself. I didn't make a top ten movies of the decade list, but I made a top ten of the year list for 2009. I didn't make a video about it or anything, but you can see it on facebook if you haven't already.
shortbus? are you fucking serious? that movie sucked balls

Interesting observation. It further backs up why I'm thinking I may have to do another video; there's a couple great ones I forgot.
If you do a video, I can't wait to see it.
