Yeah it is. Thats crazy though, reviving a name like El Camino as a Pontiac? If they do build it I believe the name will be different though, they say something "Sport Truck". I hope the revival of the Chevelle goes smoothly though.

Actually its tagged "Dead" as the Hummer, and like for example the Viper by Dodge. But it wasn't a fantasy just like the TransAm fans did. Thought they would put some ideas by modifying the Concept camaro images(Actually, due to GM situation, Pontiac is going to disappear for a few time, the best word is Hibernation). The fact is that Chevelle is just a clasic since it was enterily name replaced in 1977 by "Malibu". haha Ironic you have traveled in a "Chevelle"(malibu) but you didnt realized.

This car should be like every Camaro from the past; a great engine, a nice looking body, and absolutely no handling whatsoever. Maybe they'll equip these ones with a real rear end for once. I doubt that GM will bring another knife to a gun fight. Don't misunderstand me, I love and appreciate all cars. What I mean to say is that I sincerely hope GM doesn't plan to overprice this Camaro like they did the last time... just sayin'. =]

Actually, you might be surprised on the handling of this Camaro. They tuned it on the Nurburgring, as they did with the CTS and the ZR1 Corvette.

historically there is nothing wrong with a v6 camaro or even a 4 cylinder model. 6 cylinder engines were offered from day one, and a 4 cylinder was used in several third gen years. If GM wants to sell this car, they are going to HAVE to get mileage. if that means a turbo 4 cylinder BASE model and a v6 model followed by HIGH performance 8 cylinder models, there is nothing wrong with that. the base 6 cylinder is going to have more power than many past v8 camaros(namely 305 cars)

Yes they would allow that actually. We have a 96 Impala SS and it hast he exact same motor as a Corvette but they dropped the horsepower. So its not something that they haven't done before.

This is just the preproduction car, just the prototype, details like the headlamps rear bumper reverse lights, amber tail lights, etc etc are different for the production model, production car is even better than the concept, I haven't uploaded any production Camaro video yet, but i'll upload later if i have not much work. The camof. camaro is the prerpoduction prototype, its phase of tests and the car has to be modified because of aerodynamics, engine mechanics and performance, and body alterations that the car suffer for a optimal perfrmance body-mechanics. So what i'm trying to say is, for example just like a baby born, its not running, he begins to crawl, then walks, the runs. exactly the same with the car (continues)

it's on the phase of tests and of course the body doesn't looks so pretty, step by step has chnges so dont be scared, this is not the production Camaro, it's the preproduction or prototype, and General Motors shows a radically changed Camaro, far from the beauty concept because they have su make a sorprice with the real production Camaro, with great modofications, but looking almost like the concept. Oh, sorry, what I meant by that was that part that's leaning against the corner of the rear window. On the back of the car. It's on 1:43. It makes it look like a hatchback vehicle.

Yes the rear does look a bit... lame compared to the concept - and ppl forget the most important difference - rear wheel arches - they are smaller, less protruding (i think is the word) and result is the whole rear of the car and waist look a bit fatter - like a nissan - too much metal from weel to c post - that f--ks up the whole wisual of the rear

wow the front looks a lot better! but omfg they fucked up the rear! how sad. i liked it he way it was b4 with the nice swooping spoiler and the funky trunklid. It used to be nice and angular at the back! now its all droopy. Meh the front makes up for the back! would still buy this car though

#2(continued) it has a visual effect because of some factors; it doesn't has the spoiler, Chevy logo, the corner parkin light modified(more bigger), the reverse light is in the rear bumper(before in the Concept, was above the exhaust tip, and other visual factor is the white tone it has. etc... But it has the same measure.

But first of all, remember that its just the preproduction, a PROTOTYPE of the production. Some things are going to change for the production Camaro, an example the front, the headlamps. and about the rear, is the same, exactly the same,

if you look at the pre production one in my opinion has lost the boldness of the concept the tail lights are taller and shorter unlike the concept's car that tail lights are lower and wider and it gives the car a more wider aggressive look, the tail looks too rounded to me I like the tail angles of the concept much better

A little Advice, some details will bemodified like the grille, the headlamps, maybe the sunroof too, because is not apropiate on a Muscle car, only convertible or ---T-top--- or maybe GM will get wild and let the camaro be the first Muscle with Sunroof. I see more apropiate the T-top ;)
