I remember seeing this band advertised on a page of Hit Parader, circus or Kerrang.. along with three other bands - unleashed, Incantation, and Dismember. Some of the best cover art I've seen and just had to hear them all. Asphyx turned out to be the best one.

@jtmorse74 Honestly, people with your mindset are rare. I too am a fan of when a band can make music and every single song not sound like the exact same thing over and over again for 8 albums.... that annoys the piss out of me. My current band Necrodemon prides itself on writing each song in its own right, separate from each other song we write, so that it may stand on its own and be memorable. However, it seems most people don't like this approach and would rather hear the same song 9 times.

@jtmorse74 I agree it seems like all these newer bands just want to have the deepest guttural growls which dont get me wrong is cool to a point. but every band and song? no way!!! and the pig squeals when they inhale growl EVERY SONG? boring this is what seperates the good death metal from the bad!

@Ammerstol Of course I realize that. I don't care how monumental the vocals may be, I just personally don't like them. Note that this is an opinion, and not a fact (ie me thinking the vocals are not that great). I think they should be more guttural. Amazing band, regardless.
