Got one of these in 1993/4. It was the first machine that got me into producing electronic music (and yes, initially I wanted an R70). 255 percussion sounds and very versatile with them.

To match that kind of versatility with other sounds meant an equally impressive XP-60 in 1999...

@SHARKBOY916 The DR660 came out in the early fall of 1992. The same patches found in this came from the "then-flagship" Roland R70. Personally, I consider this as one of the best drum machines on the market.  I still have mine from 1992 and I'm considering bring it out of retirement.
