@SorchaGhadhra, actually, Kethry never sings this, but it does include the basics of her White Winds spells, her "white" magic. Lackey is an expert on/in Wicca and uses it in her Meredith Gentry novels, again as "good" magic.

It's a filk song based off of a Mercedes Lackey book. It's commonly associated with a kind of protection spell done by practitioners of real witchcraft, but the author was more going for a fantasy feel then a real practice so it's missing some elements of a real spell.
