Absolutely amazing. I learnt this varnam almost 25 years ago and had all but forgotten it. Please post the complete varnam! It's identical to the version I learnt.
@awiesha... i dont like vazhuvoor style at all! and i love kalakshetra style with a blend of pandanallur... and its far better to see a dancer in these two... n indeed i agree with ardhanariswar.. men dancing bharatanatiyam without so muchof feminity i think kalakshetra style has an edge over the rest. being a classical danceri know how important it is!
@madhandagr8: hey that "oops!" because the guy made a mistake..the step was to be done first left then right, but he did it left both the times...that is why the "oops!".....got it??
i think louis malle was onto something when he said in his doc that institutionalising the art form cld lead to it dying out in the sense that aome of the old aesthetics r forgotten. i wld really like to see what the tanjavur bhavam is like!

what is the tanjavur bhavam like?
sasa110 3 years ago
Its softer and much more gentle and realistic approach to bhavam. Many have forgotten its rasa.
