Besides, it constantly needs fuel, which can be difficult to obtain. Also, in the close quarters situation, it is a long-handed weapon, and it can be too long to be able to take a swing at zombies right near you. It's better to grab a machete or something more durable. Remember, blades don't need reloading.

A nice troupe of the first film is the theme of nourishment. The zombies crave flesh, our hero awakens on a drip, finds a coke, travels through London, discovers decayed pizzas (in a scene echoed in the second film), finds sanguinary with other survivors who have tinned goods, they travel, find a supermarket filled with fresh food, they find a camp with abundant food but no commonwealth, and eventually retreat to the country to live of the land in a 'nourishing' family unit.
I just love those transmitions with that static and without recognizable voices just hear 0:20 is like A -- A A -- like some music but is not music is like the atmosphere striking hard 0:03 a scream of a guy and something like a shotgun and 0:11 you can hear so much ppl on the background "enemy chemical weapons" Some time ago i kept listening to this theme and know is like i know it from memory i just learned it is so deep, i just love the atmosphere at 0:51 is so nuclear-viral-atmosphre i CANT
I love 0:51 because of that atmosphere of nuclear wasteland it gives you, everything fucked up everyone desperated but the world so empty so those "everyone" are only a few, just imagine the feel of that, you are in your house then you start hearing screams and car alarms, i mean i heard that when the earthquake here in Chile happened but with the same thing just imagine zombies, and rage-screams that would be fucked up, not only that port of the song but the first aprt where is no music at all

the fact of the matter is.. There is 1 chemical in the human brain that we need or else we go into a mindless frenzy as u see here in 28 days later. Its called Serotonin. If a virus ever breaks out or parasite that fucks with Serotonin than all your 28 days later dreams will come true. The scary thing is that its not a real far cry away. It could happen.. just to point something out, the infected are NOT zombies. They have a highly contagious virus that causes them to enter a state of mania and aggressive rage while also causing insanity and the desire to spread the infection.
Zombies are re-animated corpses, which generally eat the flesh of the living. The infected don't eat the flesh of their victims, they just bite them in frenzied attacks, hence why they starve to death.

But even IF we can revive dead tissue, organs, etc. we can never FULLY raise them, unless there is a way to pull the very soul of a man back int his body, but that is just relegion. My guess? no, but these things in the movie are not zombies, but everyone calls them so because it is more convienient than "Infected Beings"

Raising the dead would do no good, since the body would be an empty shell, the body would be intact(depending on if the body is fully repaired during the process) but the BODY would be souless, the person already died and there is not way to shove them back in. What is entirely possible is a mutation on the rabies virus, which already exists. The rage virus is entirely possible, which is why the movies scare the shit out o me!

I think rage is more of a codename or descriptive word than actual diagnosis. The infected do act as if they were psychotics overwhelmed with rage, but they aren't technically alive. Undead coming to kill and eat me=zombie in my book.
Well, nobody in the movie lived long enough to seriously study the infected, and trying to figure it out with the movie's own initial explanation just gets annoying because it's illogical.

E.g., people will only really act to save the environment when they begin to experience the negative repercussions firsthand. People won't make a preemptive effort to fix things for future: most couldn't care less if the tides rise and the sun bakes the earth in two hundred yeas, because it won't be THEIR problem.

It's not stupidity that makes them press on with their dangerous schemes, it's selfish greed. In the case of the politician, the greed for power and success, for the scientist, a seflish yearning for recognition, money and base curiosity: a desire to see what's possible, regardless of consequences.

just to point something out, the infected are NOT zombies. They have a highly contagious virus that causes them to enter a state of mania and aggressive rage while also causing insanity and the desire to spread the infection.
Zombies are re-animated corpses, which generally eat the flesh of the living. The infected don't eat the flesh of their victims, they just bite them in frenzied attacks, hence why they starve to death.

@Zender1994 good question, there seems to be some kind of stereotype that if the dead are raised, they will try to kill anything around them and eat it. But even IF we can revive dead tissue, organs, etc. we can never FULLY raise them, unless there is a way to pull the very soul of a man back int his body, but that is just relegion. My guess? no, but these things in the movie are not zombies, but everyone calls them so because it is more convienient than "Infected Beings"

Raising the dead would do no good, since the body would be an empty shell, the body would be intact(depending on if the body is fully repaired during the process) but the BODY would be souless, the person already died and there is not way to shove them back in. The infected beings is possible, since we have altered genetics for bioweapons before, just take a look at the flesh-eating virus, one strand was man-made

I think rage is more of a codename or descriptive word than actual diagnosis. The infected do act as if they were psychotics overwhelmed with rage, but they aren't technically alive. Undead coming to kill and eat me=zombie in my book.
