Minus from me, and I minus a video very rarely. All five points are cheap hoax and raving idiotism.
1. Tidal energy is fine but bicycle or water in pipes are too weak.
2. You don't need to be in IBM to see Google 4 previews with face auth.
3. Controlling devices with a patter is about 20-30 years from now, imo.

They are able to do all these things now. When they let us "know" through YT videos, it is already ancient history. In 5 years we will be able to do all these things telepathically. No need for a "mobile" device. We will have evolved and ascended to a higher level by then. They know this, but, they want us to be dumbed down and rely on their control devices like they always do. Apparently, the Law of Conservation of Energy must have slipped IBM's collective consciousness. Energy cannot be created. It can only be changed from form to form. Example: The cyclist converts food energy to mechanical energy to peddle the bike. A generator on the bike then converts that mechanical energy to electricity to charge the batteries. No energy was ever created. It was just changed from one form to another.

@666norton420 The cyclist is not "wasting" any energy. To charge those batteries, the generator makes it correspondingly harder to peddle the bike. The same holds true for the other bogus examples that IBM peddles.

@somecat1 Not necessarily. I'm pretty sure this has to do with better energy converters, namely, more efficient, being able to do more with less. That concept of energy has been already test with ants so imagine what can be done with humans. The challenge here will be designing a piezoelectric material that will efficiently convert the energy you generate into electricity.

Today a lot of people don't carry cash around anymore, they just use their debit bank card. And now, were starting to just things like Google Wallet, where we can pay for things by waving our phone over a scanner. IBM's idea of biometric readings for ATM's and such in the future is a little wonky.
Then we were shown a women using a phone in India, when in the background they don't have homes, running water, etc. I think basic necessities is more important then owning a phone..

@shonishekspira you are only required by law to have an I.D. on you when driving. If you are not driving, you technically do not need any form of identification but in today's society, you won't be able to do much with out one so it's easier to just carry one on you at all times. technically, if you want to be a dick, you do not have to present a form of identification unless you are being detained or driving a vehicle.
