Well, you did an absolutely horrible job with patient communication during the actual x-ray, and a horrible job with arm positioning (scapula will be in the radiograph) but I'm guessing that this really isnt a video dedicated to proper positioning.
How is it that a lot of your radiographers choose to work here in England? Do you have more radiographers that are needed? Or is it not a well-paid profession there?
we are from New Zealand. this was part of a seminar we did for our course. we just had to do a flipside of how to deal with difficult patients. it was fun to do! glad u enjoyed it!
My response to the skank patient: "I fully understand madam, you are perfectly within your rights to request another radiographer and I am happy to organise that for you. It will take a little while however until someone else is free, and until then we will send you back to the waiting room so other patients don't have to wait unnecessarily in the meantime."
Once they realise it'll mean a much longer wait they normally shut the fuck up and behave!
