  • Música Foda!

  • To bad you can't get this album at Spotify

  • I think tyr may have created something far more interesting than they intended. for those who don't know, old norse legends were all in song or poetry (hence the norse "bible" if you must call it that, being called the Poetic Edda). For tyr to have made one of the old legends into one of their modern songs is something fantastic in my opinion. I hope they do a few more like these.

  • anyone who thought thor was a bad movie, obviously dosent know shit about the story and needs to just stay silent...

  • @TheBeasty86 please explain, do you mean the mythology or the comic, if you mean the myth then I'm not sure what you are thinking because it deviated greatly.

  • @worldsunseen i mean the comic,i think it would be to difficult to make an accurate movie based on the lore.but as far as the comic i think the movie was as accurate as it gets, the thing people need to understand (and im not in anyway directing this towards you).but comic fans that go out to see these movies, need to understand that if you make a movie based 100% after the comic, then there will be no surprise in the movie,so they need to change it up alittle, and i think thor was done very well.

  • @TheBeasty86 ah, alright then. I never read the comic but do know a great deal about the lore and I didn't like the movie, this is just me though, i'm sure it was a great movie for fans of the comic, I just don't like the tweaking of myth even if it is for pop culture. you are right though that an accurate movie based on the lore would be near to impossible to make (at least in terms of making it good).

  • @quantumpower100 thats been done also

  • @quantumpower100 Link please lol...that sounds fun

  • Someone made an 8-bit version of this song, I loved it almost as much as the original. :D

  • I meant I do not see anything wrong with those labels*

  • @666fuckoffandie Cowboy metal

  • I Bet th eMakers of Thor asked Tyr if they could use this and Tyr just went, "Shove it asshole, HEL NO!"

  • The Moive Thor was SUPER Offencive to me when I was Pagan, They made him cheat on his wife, Had fabio playing him when he infact is a red haired BEARDED man not some publess pussy. among a thousand more wroungs like, Being kicked out of As-Gard, Most unlikely, he's th eonly one stopping the Jotuns, and What hELL was with the robot? Multiplying Loki uhmmm? Loki shapeshifts fucken' retards... That movie SUCKED

  • @StonerMetalWarrior Wow, it was just a movie. Also, stop being a offended by things; you'll feel better :D

  • @StonerMetalWarrior

    I agree.

The movie is incredibly inaccurate, and pretty stupid.

  • @StonerMetalWarrior in many ways i agree, but you understand it wasn't the movie, the movie was based off the comic, thor is a read headed read beared warrior, he is huge and strong, they got alot of things wrong, but blame the maker of the comic, not the movie.

  • I eat this song for breakfast everyday. I salute you my brethren.

  • @Metaldrummer100 Terji writes his own solos always.

  • AWESOME!!

  • The solo is so well written, Heri.......what a god!

  • @Metaldrummer100 terji does most of the solos but yes indeed both great gods

  • @mRjAcKmAn95 I am pretty sure that Heri writes the music, including the solos. :-)

  • This should have been the soundtrack to Thor.

  • @Tjalfi999

That is what i was thinking.

  • it is!

  • @Tjalfi999

Not enough popular for them I guess :(

  • @hackforloser

So they used the weak ass Foo fighters, Shame shame shame. I agree, a mix of this, and Amon amarth would have been amazing

  • @twiztidlestat Well, this did come out after Thor, unfortunately...

  • @Tjalfi999

Hail to the hammer would have worked :)

  • @twiztidlestat

That would have been an amazing mix indeed. That's what I kept thinking.

Then again, it was an AMERICAN and MARVEL movie, had to be appealing to the masses' generic and simple tastes. It came as a great disappointment along with the way they raped the mythology and stuck with their Americanization bullshit.

  • @taxi911 You have it correct, sir. It doesn't matter what the story used to be, they made it something that was easily condensed into a movie and used non-threatening music that was going to get people to buy that shit. Money, money, money. No wonder our sense of family and craftsmanship is all but gone. They buy to throw away, but there is an upside. I get all the good tools for guitar making real cheap from the useless stupid grandsons of the deceased original owners. A land of fools. =)

  • @bedofrazorsqwerty

How is Amon Amarth or Tyr threatening? Ok, maybe the songs aimed at Catholics or Christians.

As for losing sense of family, I only see it on US/Canadian soil, most others have stuck to their roots & culture. Also, you cheeky fuck, hahaha, good on you mate. You build guitars, then, eh? Got a website or FB page I can go and drool on?

I also hated the fact that Thor landed in US because US is Earth, isn't it? I think they think the world is flat and there is nothing else.

  • @taxi911 The world isn't flat but they do kinda walk without any vigor and their eyes don't ever completely focus. XD

Nay on the site or FB. I do it for myself. Current project is a thruneck Rhoads. Wenge neck and body, ziricote fboard, ebony binding. I will send you a Youtube buddy request and link you the vid when I'm done. :)

I'm just too busy with gettin my EE degree and working to give makin gits a go. Maybe that's why I hate my US countrymen. I like to create things, not simply own them.

  • @twiztidlestat dont forget manowar and wizard!

  • @Tjalfi999 I have been thinking the same fucking thing.

  • @Tjalfi999 except not american... or gay

  • @Tjalfi999 that movie sucked too much ass to do anything with viking music!

  • @Tjalfi999 Would've been a disgrace for the song imho

  • @Tjalfi999

well...technically i agree with you, but this song is about when Thor went to Jotunheim to "retrieve" his hammer. he had to disguise himself as a woman to get it back. and with loki's help he did so. but again, i agree, Tyr's songs along with Amon Amarth's songs would've been better suited. but as it was a marvel movie...they felt that screaming and Norse reality was too prominent for the film. damn Christian & Jewish film critiques always keeping us down. HAIL THOR!!

  • @Tjalfi999

also, as a Proud Heathen, and Pagan. i would've been a littel hurt to see such a legendary tale retold in song, such as this one, used in a comics remake movie. The movie and comic are highly inaccurate and ...unfortunately to some of my kind, highly offensive. Due to morals and what not, i wouldn't have actually gone to see the movie had i known that Tyr's music was being abused as such. HAD the movie and comic been accurate..i would've had no problem though.

  • @ViveLEmperur Lol I dont actually think this would have been good. But for Tyr this is a pretty low quality song, only in that its not containing a subtle message or deeply emotional, just fun to listen to and about Thor. Its actually the second song they have which contains the name of any of the Gods, the other being Hammer of Thor. Overall they have very few actual names of Norse legendary figures in their lyrics, just strong allusions.

  • @ViveLEmperur Anyway, i didnt mind the norse theme, only the acting was bad and the plot was worse. I dont mind them screwing with the story cause it might encourage someone to go and read the real thing. There arent a whole lot of viking movies out there, and it was cool that one was so mainstream. Besides, this wasnt at all based on the mythology, it was based on the comic, which also sucked.

  • @ViveLEmperur I think that the Thor comics aren't so bad. I actually think it's better that they made an original story that borrows from the true Norse mythos, rather than simply turning the old stories into a comic book. It'd be a butchery to do that, in my opinion.

  • @guilemaster147 the reason i would prefer a comic that displayed norse mythology in all its glory, is because norse mythology wasnt all nice and pretty like the Thor comic... it was brutal and far more lifelike... i would like to see a comic about it

  • @NouMPSy You have obviously never heard of Northlanders. A comic book series by DC's Vertigo. Started about 4 and half years ago. You can find the trade paperbacks at any Barnes and Noble or just order online.

  • @Sperlin sweet man... ill check it out, thanks for the info

  • @Tjalfi999 No, "Thor the Powerhead" by MANOWAR should have been the soundtrack for Thor.

  • @Tjalfi999 No. That would have ruined this song.

  • @Tjalfi999 As a disclaimer, I no longer think this song should have been in Thor. This song is way to good to be associated with that movie.

  • @Tjalfi999 Finally saw that movie, and I totally agree... they should have used this instead... very disappointing that they failed to use authentic Scandinavian metal...

  • Great stuff!
