As of now there is Killzone 2, and Metal Gear Solid 4 on the ps3, and more games that even look better such as God of War 3, FInal Fantasy Versus, Uncharted 2, and alot more on ps3 that are exceeding this.

Of course they are working on Crysis 2 which i have no doubt will be visually stunning/.

It depends, because when you develope a game for a different console or machine(Ps3 and PC in this case), you need to follow a whole type of new CPU infrastructure, the ps3 has a more complicated and more powerful CPU than any other on the market right now, but it is very hard to develope for compared to the other machines.

yes, it has a nice graphics, but the developers chase themselves to develop for PS3 and not for PC or something like that; Crysis 2 will also have inferior graphics to Crysis 1 because it will be on consoles

In the other points you are right, but that it's harder to compile for the PS3 doesn't matter at all... the games still look awesome and run as they have to :P

I wasnt saying it could look better, I said it looks better because Guerilla(The developers) took the time with the ps3 to make a whole entire new gaming engine, thats why the game took so long to come out, now that they have a good basis engine , their next games wont take near as long to come out. And I agree with the gimped looking Crysis 2 part, the fucking xbox 360 ruins everything and is the biggest piece of crap the gaming industry has ever produced.

There may be hope for crysis 2's graphics, as crytek says that it will develop the game using each console's full potential, but the PC version will feature graphics that heavily surpass the xbox/ps3 version, supposedly doing things that ps3 or xbox couldn't handle.

What would make it more probable is full support for i7's with 8 hyperthreaded cores, just one core under the ps3's processor.

Lets just hope they stay true to this philosophy. If they do, then they are amazing developers indeed...

PS3's CPU is a single core. Marketing propaganda. If the PS3/ 360 was so great, there'd be no PC gaming, but no, they aren't as good. Also, Crysis 2 WILL run on medium-high, DX9, 600p.

I was talking aboute PC too, the game will be built around DX9 (latest consol suported version) and DX10 and 11 will just be added on the top of that, also it will be optimised towards the consoles because of the slower hardware.

there are THOUSANDS of CPUs with 2,2 GHz and THOUSANDS of GPUs, and the MB-number of a GPU doesn't matter absolutely in this count

every mainboard can take every MB-number of a GPU, the only thing which is important is the PCI-e 1.0/2.0/AGP thing, also the CPU has to be fast enough, which isn't influenced by the MB of the GPU too, only by the core speed

Just chill out play single player, look into the gameplay. I don't care about the graphics, I played the whole single player on LOW detail. I don't care, I still enjoyed the game.
