I used to like this song at the time. Meh. I moved on now I guess. This is tedious to me now. The album is even worse. tepid at best. Lets all wank off to Oasis. If that's even possible! Stale, sub-beatles, posturing crap. Totally lacking in soul. Lennon would be disapointed....

And if you disagree then you really need to branch out into other types of music...seriously.

I recall reading somewhere at the time (probably the text blurb from ITV's chart show), that Alex was a former boxer. I also remember another of their songs, "Only the strongest will survive", been used to sell the Sun newspaper in one of their ads, back in the summer of 1998. I was truly disgusted at the time, thought it was selling out. Now I just know it's called paying the bills!

This was used on BBC Match of the Day as I recall in the late 1990s... They used am instrumental version which was awesome... Sort of an extended opening edit... They used it on the highlights and previews for the show. I'd love to get hold of that version.., I have had all the others for years...

I played in a band a few years ago we ended up on as a kind of a warm up act for The Alex Lowe Band who I didn't know and I was blown away by his voice, guitar playing and the sheer attitude and noise of that band. He was like a young Rod Stewart. Fantastic to see this vid and the others.
