After Amy died, I watched every interview with her I could find. A lot of comments have criticized this interviewer, but I have to say that of the many, many interviews I've seen, this has emerged as one of my two or three favourites. Why? Because I see a side of Amy here that I've not seen anywhere else. She's relaxed, animated and completely herself. I love seeing how excited she was about the hot-sauce shop. Interviewer should have picked a quieter place. Very distracting for the listener and I imagine for Amy and the interviewer too. Amy seemed very genuine and real. I agree that she should have had a more experienced interviewer who asked intelligent questions regarding her craft instead of asking her about hot sauce. She was very sweet and gracious tho' and tolerated the dumb questions with good humor. Says alot about her as a person. R.I.P.

@glinda808 MINOR CORRECTION: The BAD interview I mentioned aired on MTV Canada, not MuchMusic. It still really sucks, though. The station had THREE idiot interviewers (I guess the bosses don't know how to say "no" to anyone), each worse than the last. Amy started out being very genuine and open, but soon clammed up and her facial expression said "get me the hell outta here." She seemed irritated, and I don't blame her one bit. This interview is a delight, by comparison.

I am crying a river. I happened to be fortunate to see her performance during this particular festival (SXSW) in 2007. I live in Austin. I agree with the people who dislike the interviewer, she did poorly. Amy exuded brilliance in the interview regardless and shone as brightly as the sun during her performance, the audience was blown away. I can't type anymore, the tears keep flowing. RIP Amy, you dear little girl with the big heart and big voice, you angel. This should be on the news, it's HER.
