  • To all the people that have replied to my messages - Some of the jokes were ok but he,s been doing these same jokes for years, nothing new and a bit tedious.

He needs to come up with new material not just rehashing same jokes against new people. boring! Move on from the Office!

  • The MAJORITY of actors were American. Why is everyone so fucking sensitive about "nationality difference" as you say....fucking generation that's so fucking worried about stereotyping....jesus christ already

  • The majority of actors and directors were American that's what the fuck I meant asshole.

  • Love all the comments and banter. Get this video back on public viewing!!!!

  • I'm sorry for jumping to conclusion - wait I'm confused two people are being friendly to each other on Youtube comments - there is hope for the world :) Sorry again

  • @Jess91ism I agree with you that his best/better stuff is at home. But from a business perspective, he didn't think. Bottom line is that foreign actors that stray into the Hollywood scene (which I'm not really a fan of) "want" that publicity in Hollywood. Unless he did it on purpose as an exit strategy from Hollywood. Who knows...

  • @ocsspot his goal was to never be asked to host anything ever again. a business is what you make it. i have the feeling that Ricky's attitude is basically if people aren't going to offer him scripts anymore because of the way he is, then that's not something worth doing. i don't think he's someone that's going to kiss people's arses just to get more business, money, fame etc.

  • @persianprincessacu Can somebody from Britain not call themselves English...I mean England isn't a single nation. My God, as a child I wanted to vomit when this silly discussion occured. I also happen to be Cherokee does that mean I have to clarify when I call myself an Indian?

  • @billysometimes furthermore, since this thread seems to have alot of US vs England conversation in it I'd say where I was born is indeed relevant to the conversation....although I don't see where "wankers" fit in?

  • @billysometimes Okay, you are now the 3rd person to use that stupid American bit. Can't you kids think for yourself. . Semantics man, what's your point. I live in Harrison AR my real name is Travis Allred look me up in person and i'll show you a wanker. But really, what have you against me. I don't even understand your outrage, is it because I insulted hollywood. I bet you don't like Sarah palin (just a hunch) but I wouldn't call you names (especially a goofy one like "wanker") for it.

  • Tom Hanks was once a great comedian...How quickly some forget their roots when fame and ego goes to their head...

  • @Jantles how about "average" American. not sure what your angle is though. I think the bit was hilarious and i think the USA is the greatest. I doubt Hollywood was offended and hope that fake outrage doesn't make others think we can't take a joke. What's your opinion Jantles? You're entitled same as me. Keyboards give folks balls they never have in person. I have nothing against you and can't for the life of me figure out what the hell you're trying to accomplish?

  • @lagr08 I agree with you on your opinion about Ricky Gervais. I think the US is a great country, we have the most powerful military, the highest GDP, but we do lack in other areas, such as healthcare, the environment/pollution, mass transit, quality of life, etc. I am glad I live here, but by saying things like "I am a real american" you are placing people into the category of "fake american" and I think its a bit egotistical to say that. sorry if it was harsh

  • @Jantles Fair enough...I should have said average or typical. My quality of life is pretty good. I make a measly 10 bucks an hour with a family of 7. Just paid cash for a 55 inch sony 3d television and I'm sitting on the crapper with my $1000.00 laptop.

  • @Jantles Fair enough...I should have said average or typical. My quality of life is pretty good. I make a measly 10 bucks an hour with a family of 7. Just paid cash for a 55 inch sony 3d television and I'm sitting on the crapper with my $1000.00 laptop. All about management. Say no to eating out and never ever enter a gas station.

  • @lagr08 and coupons :) have a good one

  • @Jantles Just a little correction US does not have the highest GDP, Qatar does. (I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm an aussie and I have nothing against America, will probably be going there for a holiday, just correcting your statement :) )

  • @persianprincessacu ???? lipo, botox, boobjobs and taking offense to harmless jokes sounds pretty insecure to me. I enjoy Hollywood entertainment but I don't think they represent the UNITED STATES (is that better), I mean come on, that's so old, petty, weak and pathetic. Your desire to argue semantics over substance tells me your liberal.

  • @PhantomLyric No, I believe you are missing the point These actors are no more than glorified BS artists that get paid way too much to do something that we can all do. They are the lowest form of talent on the planet but for some reason theyre put on pedestals, and heaven forbid you ridicule them in front of their so called friends of which many of them would slit anothers throat for more fame. Most are egoistical wankers that just need to lighten up. All Ricky did was call a spade a spade...

  • Hahaha he absolutely destroyed them. Go Ricky, Go Ricky, Go Ricky!!!

  • @Kirbyandco

Oh what bullshit man. You cannot make any claims that America is superior when you elect George W Bush... TWICE... oh and Obama? He's just black... What exactly has he done? And comedy? Well Ricky says it all, Americans are so egotistical and stuck up to take a joke. Think about that before you troll saying how "Brits" are inferior to Americans in every way. And hey at least we Brits don't invade a country for oil, we had to march in because you just had to have a posse and Britain

  • @TehMangaBoy Sorry but have you forgotten about the Falklands war...

  • @Tlincali Suck a dick you left winged bitch. Saying that word "faggot" is bigoted? Gay people use the word "faggot" just like blacks use the word "Nigga" and "cracka" So shut your cowardly filth spreading ass you motherfucker. Don't bring your rhetoric and propaganda around here nazi

  • @diamonddust22 So that makes your bigotry ok? Your insults are lame. Nothing even close to original. Just ignorant bigoted hatred.

  • You tell them Ricky!

Kick them off the throne they bullied their way onto, and show them to be the arrogant twits that they are!

    Back Ricky!

It's about time the Americans got a taste of their own sour medicine!

  • They should get frankie boyle to do it next year :P

  • the hefner joke was the best of the night lolol, the critics panning him should seriously chill

  • Thank goodness someone has the balls to call it like it is in Hollywood! Way to give a voice to all us Americans! I don't even know why Hollywood thinks we want to watch all their award shows all the time anyway!!!

  • Hally Barrey is like "Oh shit, should I laugh, too late, lol."

  • Fucking hilarious!!! XD

  • Ricky is hilarious and edgy, sadly the kind of British humour that is totally lost on many Americans

  • The Robert Downey Jr. and Bruce Willis intros were the best (and I love RDJ!)

  • @adammusicny WTF that is a fukin hilarious show u nob

  • i love how johnny depp was smileing at the jokes about him he's such a good sport lol

  • ...and Tim Allen LOL

  • RICKY F.. ROCKS Most "actors spend there life up their arse or somone elses

ITS ALL JOKES PEOPLE never take yrself so serious you cant laugh no more.

  • i think good on him. they cant take any bloody jokes.

  • the fact that tim allen had to clarify tom hanks' joke basically confirms the level of their humour vs gervais.

  • Hollllly shit.

  • Didn't think it was possible to be more in love with Ricky jervais. But I am.

  • What a bunch of spoiled shits! Everyone kisses their asses 24/7/365 and they cant take a few jokes.

  • Gap Yah Banter...

  • I'm American and I love Ricky Gervais - BRAVO !!!

  • Gap Yah Banter...

  • Hey America:

    Actors are not Gods.

    Famous does not equal Untouchable.

Ricky was brilliant, so get a clue.

    I loved it.

  • Comment removed

  • atleast it was funnier than his stupid fuckin cartoon show

  • @Adammusicny you obviously didn't watch it because the main focus of that programe is a man called karl pilkington

  • @AlexDJames I guess i was watching the wrong show cause it is called the RICKY GERVAIS show

  • he's exactly like David Brent... too much, sorry other countries, don't judge us...

  • Joke is called a Joke for a reason... Stop pussying around, what he is saying is soo true that its hilarious..

  • someone needs to have a reaction compilation to his jokes ASAP!

  • THE THING ABOUT RICKY IS HE DOSNT GIVE A FUCK AND WHY ........COZ HES GOT OVA $200 MILLION BUCKS IN THE BANK

  • America would love Frankie Boyle........

  • hahaha Bobby D, what a lad =)

  • Tell it how it is, Ricky, my main man.

It's about time someone took the piss like that at one of these awards, where everyone is too busy licking each other's arse and terrified of upsetting anyone, let alone saying something politically incorrect.

    Nice one.

  • thank u , u just proved how big of a asshole most all in hollywood really are, but the jokes was not on conservatives this time, but your own in your eye hollywood u moralist asshole rot of u.s.a

  • Gervais sucks!

  • YANKS CANT HANDLE THE BANTER

  • "I would like to thank god.. for making me an atheist." lol

    Ricky ftw!

  • @xarsonist69x yay atheism for the win...not....have fun in your pointless life

  • @dmanschaumbizzie Pointless life? A sheep living a life that follows what his master and dog ( a priest ) tells it what to do and who to serve is more meaningful that a person that is more free that non-religious people will ever be? Funny joke, you should have hosted the GGs not Ricky.

  • Robert de niro has some good humor :D

  • he's out of line

  • LMAO BRAVO!

  • This must be the first time for most of you to even watch the Golden Globes. Watch the Golden Globes in the past decade... and you'll see hosts and actors giving jabs at one another. Nothing new.

  • Ricky Gervais > America (except De Niro ;)

  • hahah suck shit hollywood

  • Why on earth do I need Hanks and Tim Allen to give me their impressions of Ricky? I can figure out what I think on my own. I'm not one of those right wing morons who need Rush Limbought-oxy to tell them what to think. And why isn't that jerk in prison?

  • Political Correctness is ruining everything

  • check out ricky in the "That's a lot of caulk" video

  • I know a lot of people are applauding this guy for making fun of the other actors but...is anyone else part of the "I really just didn't find it that funny" party? It's not that I'm going to cry about being politically correct or anything (hell, I love a bunch of politically incorrect comedians), but I just didn't laugh *shrug*

WHO'S WITH ME? WHO'S BLOODY WITH ME? *draws out swashbuckling sword*

  • @elyonum

Yeah mate I agree. I think the Office is up there with the best comedy that has ever been made in England. Some parts of his series 'Extras' were pretty funny but live Ricky does very little for me.

  • @elyonum You must have a very dry sense of humour, to not see the funny side, if that be the case then I applaud you...

  • I loved Ricky...it felt very much like he was playing to his core audience back in England and mocking the whole Hollywood system.....excellent job and I am glad to hear that he WON"T be back next year....it would cheapen him.

  • God at every single fucking chance the British and Americans get they slag eachother off godsake guys

  • Ha ha ha ha - Hollywood pwned by an Englishman - top bloke.

  • And as for scientologist joke...goddamn, that's like shooting fruity fish in a barrel

  • America, my dear country. Ricky is awesome! Clearly we all need to check out our own egos.

  • Fuck those cocksuckers if they can't take a joke...the whole movie awards ceremony ordeal is a joke, in a sense, because it is only an excuse for self-glorification and to make further business deals. There is no reason why someone should deny that "The Tourist" wasn't a terrible movie. Get over it and laugh; otherwise, you look like a douche and douches have only themselves to validate themselves. And if a sober RDJ can't handle poking fun as his past, fuck him...

  • How was the hefner joke relevant?

  • I'll admit i hated ricky back when he did the office, but i've grown to love everything hes done from xfm to his films. This makes me proud to be british

  • It's Frankie Boyle

  • hahahahaah good on him classic... well done

  • Could somebody point out what exactly was offensive? Because I only heard truth being spoken.

  • Awesome! Reminds me of when Chris Rock hosted the Oscars and so many of these hollywood politicaly correct knuckle heads got upset, loved it. I will never forget how Sean Penn got angry just beautiful. Basicly it's political correctness main ingredient (or lack of it), no humor.

  • God damn, I hate the political correctness in the United States today. Long live Ricky Gervais and his absolutely outstanding comedy. I will absolutey support this guy in whatever he does and I truly hope that he makes an outstanding movie that has to be nominated for a Golden Globe, Academy Award etc. and furthermore wins it. Thumbs up if you agree.

  • Hats off to Ricky for once he says what we really think and it was hilarious so to all those people who felt offended please remove the stick up your butt and relax ok .

  • He is just speaking the truth, its so ridiculous how sensitive some people are. Some of these actors just needed to be put down they are so caught up in themselves. These award ceremonies are just an event where they all get together and tell eachother how great they think they are..ricky was just there to point out the stuff they didnt want to hear..why should they be allowed to get away with all the shit they do, they are just actors. there should be an award ceremony for soldiers and doctors

  • ahaha love it, about time someone had the balls to publicly bring these self involved money obsessed divas down to earth and remind them that not everyone will kiss their asses. I'm loving you Ricky Gervais, for providing some fine British humour.

  • If they think this is bad we better not let them see Frankie Boyle!

  • absolute master stroke by Gervais. He's seen what Russell Brand did and basically copied it. His recognition in America will have absolutely soared overnight. He knew exactly what he was doing and I applaud him. Also, to see the look on some of the usually smug Hollywood actors faces was brilliant.

  • If anyone knew anything about ricky, his comedy has not changed, just watch his animals, politics and fame stand-ups.....RICKY YOU ARE A COMEDY LEGEND!

  • Tom Hanks you have gone done in my point of view!

  • BRILLIANT

Just give it to them Ricky , precious Americans their entire existense is based on hype and the dollar , the media builds up and panders to these cretans who actually believe their own hype so what a shock to the system when reality in the form of a clever comedian kicks in . The arts , performance , stage and culture , a Monarchy , history , England has it all , the closest America came to cultural credibility was Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy .

  • Franki boil

  • Frankie boil

  • love it, the american stars need a knocking down, they think they are fucking gods.

  • If they think Ricky was bad, which he was brilliant! Could you imagine Frankie Boyle hosting! All of the up tights would have been on their heads doing spins and pissing their pants

  • This guy is hilarious. My whole family sat laughing, I don't know what these Americans are on about, it's good to get a little ripped on. That's what celebrities need to make them realise that they're not the best people in the world, they're not far from the rest of us.

  • He was funnier last year and less offensive

  • t was alright, kinda funny i guess...but the british should stop generalizing. fuckin hell if i was sheen, cruise or travolta i'd be a bit livid of course. it's not worth the fuss yeah, but i guess insults done in bad taste are the contemporary. trust me, if any of you gets mentioned like that then you'll probably be shitting your pants in anger

  • 1st time I've actually laughed at his jokes...

  • "...such versatility, he has played a boxer and Rambo"

  • Genius. His jokes were all hilarious! Brilliant. That is top quality stand up comedy!

  • 1) Hold your breath.

    2) Copy all of these steps.

    3) Go to two other video.

    4) Paste it in the comments.

If you can do all of this without breathing you're a good Sniper

  • People are complaining about THIS??? Seriously? Oh no... those poor disgustingly rich yankee A listers having a British comedian be mean about them. Awww how terrible. To you all. Grow a pair.

  • they think ricky gervais is bad, they should see how british talent get humilated by comedians like frankie boyle. The US just want to wrap up their stars in cotton wool. Good entertainment by ricky, best thing to come out of the golden globes this year, besides from our boy colin firth!!!

  • funny funny funny funny!!!!!!! please welcome ashton kutchers dad, bruce willis lmao!

  • i dont get the one about ashton kutcher being bruce willis son??? someone explain??? thanks xx

  • @123lolzxx123 Niether do l lol

  • @123lolzxx123 i think its cause ashton is married to demi which is bruces ex and he is so young

  • @123lolzxx123 He was married to Demi Moore. Demi Moore is now married to Ashton Kutcher.

  • @123lolzxx123 ashton kutcher has a relationship with demi moore right now. demi moore was previously married to bruce willis...so y'know...get it?

  • And Bruce Willis is probably biologically old enough to be Ashton's Dad... plus the whole family dynamics is funny as well

  • I think everyone has an opinion on his performance. They only one sitting back and enjoying this all is Ricky. He doesn't care!! great stuff.

  • so that was it?

that's what all the fuzz is about?

  • absolutley brlliant. British humour at its best. Americans complained but most probably didnt get the jokes. RBHILL300, get a grip daft lad. If it wasn't for Gervais this would be boring as shit. You Americans have tried to catch up with the British wit, irony and sarcasm for years but your complaints prove your still primative when it comes to comedy.

  • @RouteoneNews British comedy rocks!! The yanks have a long way to go to catch up, The only true American comedien ever is Jim Carrey .

  • @RouteoneNews wtf are you asshole british always trying to start a fight you can win?

  • @RouteoneNews- British vs. American? ........dude Lisa lampanelli is like Ricky here an equal opportunity insulter, thanks to people like them we have some bold humor. I don't think it's countries mate it's people who don't follow the boring humorless politically incorrect crap

  • @RouteoneNews So, because of "RBHILL300", you generalize an entire peoples..... shitlogic.

Larry David > *all that's British

  • @RouteoneNews I'd vote up a hundred times if I could

  • @RouteoneNews STFU nigger.

  • @RouteoneNews what the hell are you talking about? We don't GET it? What is there to get?

Theses are simple boring jokes. None of them were funny. None of them were witty or even clever. Listen to this.

    "ashton Kutcher's dad, bruce willis!"

    yeah real fucking funny.

  • @swantonist LOL, that's the best bit, you really just don't get it. Explaining the deeper meaning of the jokes, to someone who sees the joke as the only message on display is futile. You aren't clever enough to get it; I pity you.

  • @swantonist

Really? you just proved RouteoneNews' point. you dont get the humor. The joke referring to Bruce Willis is that he and Demi Moore used to be married for a long time and had several kids together, essentially meaning that Bruce Willis is old enough, or Kutcher young enough, to actually be father/son. its a joke, and is actually pretty witty AND clever. why do you get so angry?

  • @RouteoneNews Not everyone is complaining you idiot. Like 96% of Americans like the humor.

  • @RouteoneNews hahahahaha you made me laugh saying that any european country is better or more funny than America. Stop being jealous of the USA, just cause were better doesnt mean you have to make false and unfunny comments claiming were not superior. But seriously "lad", you brits have been trying to catch up to us Americans in almost everything and you clear inferiority proves your not even in progress to compete with US.

  • @kirbyandco lol there's no need to compete because after all Europe made America. Get this in your heads once and for all ;)

  • @kirbyandco LMAO THAT'S A FUCKING JOKE IN ITS SELF!!! XD

  • @RouteoneNews I am American and I thought he was hilarious. British humor? Ever heard of Howard Stern? He does this type of humor at Hollywood almost every day on the radio.

  • @RouteoneNews Lighten up all of you this has nothing to do with Britain nor America. Its all about crap that the media sensationalizes to sell newspapers or dont you get it. Take a chill pill all of you...

  • i wish he would have told them their speech was too long every person talked over time

  • i wish he would have told them their speech was too long every person talked over time

  • Yeah, I would say many in America are offended by his style of humor, that's why he didn't host two years in row. Oh wait. Even though the actors in the room aren't laughing too hard because they are getting shat on, doesn't mean the entirety of this country can't appreciate his humor.

  • he's only there because america have no good stand up comedians anymore

  • It looked like the celebrities were enjoying having themselves roasted. It's all fun and games.

  • I really do thing the golden globes should be on put pay per view and the money given to a good cause setting in my room seeing all the stars reaction to what he was saying was true in nature if it going to be a club like gathering CIA MEETING DO NOT HAVE IT FREE HD TV have it somewhere els please

  • gotta love deniro's face

  • robert de niro was loving it

  • I've always loved old Gerv and even more so after his amazing performance here!

If all these fucking americans didn't want do be ridiculed they shouldn't have let Ricky host it, it's like putting a shark in a paddling pool and then moaning when all the kids have been bitten. Jesus christ, America. Get a grip.

  • mmm I think he went a tiny bit over the top on some occasions but he certainly was no where near as bad as the media made him sound...

  • Don't understand why so many people like him especially in America... I don't find him very funny

Get a grip.

  • Christ - some UK idiots are trotting out some tired stereotypes. Get bent with the 'oh Americans just don't get it'. Ricky Gervais is much appreciated here, on the whole 'we do get it' - i'm a fan, but it's not like he's going for dry and sophisticated in this clip is he?

  • yes yes yes humour for the stuck up in hollywood well done ricky

  • yes yes yes humour for the stuck in Hollywood up well done ricky

  • sorry america,by now you must realise that hes not funny at all, well its too late you took him you can keep him

  • Like a kid in a sweet shop, Gervais is really sticking his fingers up at the fake, pompous elite of Hollywood by being just that himself. He wants nothing to do with being part of the in crowd and i bet he can't believe he's hosting this show again. Ironic.

  • how dare this guy make fun of a bunch of important people like actors?

  • Pure class go on ricky

  • Ricky Gervais isnt even funny, its not because hes british its because he sucks balls

  • ello mate! lol ahhhh the british.

  • @HoldenMagroinn lol Do you really think I care enough about you to read all of your comments? Once again, you haven't lived here for 21 years like I have. Can you even explain what a British sense of "humour" is? Doubtful. That's because it doesn't exist. We have the same sense of humor, except for these celebrities who have no sense of humor.

  • I love how everyone's like 'its only a joke', then Tom Hanks does one back and its like 'Screw Him'

  • Fantastic job he did!! The only ones he offended were the pricks that deserve it.

  • @HoldenMagroinn What's with Brits and their fucking obsession with "British humour"? This isn't any different than most "American" humour.

  • This guy is absolutley Brilliant .

  • lol at least robert deniro & halle berry have a sense of humour

  • Awesome...Hollywood, get over yourself!

  • I take it he wont be invited back next year.. lol
