My God that beautiful guitar, and that amazingly beautiful, soulful voice. We'll never have that combination again! James's voice is so beautiful, it makes me want to cry! Kids growing up now really don't what truly good music is! Glad I'm an old fart who grew up in rock's heyday!
My Marine engineer buddy ziggy owned the Island reef bar it St. T. The first english he learned was this song which we would sing at the top of our lungs after a few beers.....
Thanks many times for this post. "Sailed some stormy waters to be with ya, baby..." Great memories from hippiedom days and sailing out of Destin, Florida on Obeah.
Been a long time fan of this man since the early 70`s,seen him many times, got all the albums still got all the original concert tickets too...can you believe £1-60 to see Robin Trower all them years ago.
By far my most favorite Trower song...James was the only singer for Robin... just my opinion...I listened to Robin when I was a very young man thakx to my older brother and it saddned me immensely when James passed..I played this song over and over that night for hours and hours....thankx for posting this beautiful song.....Ray
i love this one..wow..i'm a musician and have even posted a couple of old trower covers..but i aint tochin this one..i dont think any one could do it the justice it deserves..so..i play it..but i play it in private only..8-}..thanks for posting this great oldy man awsome.!!
I wish more people would post positive comments such as this. I do not allow my children on You Tube without me or my better half standing over their shoulders.
Its scary! Our daughter had a classmate who started an online relationship with a guy she thought was her age,14. He wasn't as you guessed, he got her address and she even told him when she would be home alone and for how long. Fortunately for her he either got scared or whatever but he never showed. Couple more weeks went by before her Dad found out by reading an email she had left open on her netbook The creep is in jail awaiting trial, the young girl has monitored internet use now no private
One of the best and underrated R&B bands of all time. No one will ever have that depth or match those vocals. Bronze can't hold a candle, let alone his bed pan. Dewar you will surely be missed.
Thanks for posting. Who cares what the guys look like, listen to the music. If four baboons and a bald warthog played this good, I wouldn't care. Enjoy!
Just one more very slick tune from Robin, wondermous!

This song was originally written and sung by Gavin Sutherland of the The Sutherland Brothers and Quiver. Its on their "LIfeboat" LP

Cheers, Frazzo.

I read James Dewars interview where he stated he did not really like to sing this song...
He sure does an awesome job though!!

how can you even tell, quality is low.

Thank God good looks aren't a prerequisite for rock n roll otherwise, we'd be left to Huey Lewis banality.
