  • its boring, no offence... u all should pick up a sport instead... like snowboarding or motorcross...

  • it called self defense

can motorcross or snowboarding do that?

  • lol, self defense from who? call the police, thats what taxpayers pay them for...

forget it, let just say you got different mind set

  • @samuel199166

you know snowboarding and motorcross where the second most popular choice for people in ancient China. the first most popular was world of warcraft in real life 3d

  • wut is the dif from a bo staf and a wushu staff

  • none, different names for the same thing. bo is the japanese name for it, and a staff used in wushu is called a gun

  • Correction for you.

Japanese Staffs only go as long as 6 Ft and are mostly made of hardwood (Rattan, Redwood, Bambo).

Chinese staffs go as long as 7 ft and are made mostly of flexible materials. (Waxwood and various types of soft bambos). Reason for flexible staffs is Wushu is suppose to be soft and graceful and be influenced by movement.

  • i didn't know they were longer, though I knew they were real flexible. But you're right, thanks.

  • A wushu staff is typically thicker at one end and tapers towards the other end, whereas a bo staff is either straight, or thicker in the center and tapered towards both ends, hence the more whip-like movements in wushu as you grab the thicker end and whip the thinner end around, doesn't work for a traditional bo staff which is not flexible and straight

  • sorry but it is not very martial !

  • It's a form. A wushu form.

  • at very slow speed !

  • g888... Speed is not everything in Wushu. Take tai chi for example. If you were really a master in Wushu, you would have known that. Also, a long time ago, wushu was created not with the intention to hurt, but to help. Some forms of Wushu are supposed to relax you. Like tai chi.

  • ah i never said i was a master (if i was i would not be on youtube for one :-)) secondly : taichi was a martial art in the beginning (now it has maney subbranches) look at the first kind of taichi : chen style : it mixed soft and slow with hard and fast (in application you have to to be fast) greetz g :-)

  • good point, and i see your logic, but you contradicted yourself a bit. Although i agree with you , you said yourself that tai chi starts out slow and then becomes more dynamic, true, but what if that is the same for this staff form? what if this is just his beginning and over time he will make it more dynamic.?
