Did anyone notice that a lot of pit bulls were left behind. Ya know why? It is because of breed bans and people not being allowed to bring their pit bulls due to their bad rap.Or fears they will be turned away because of their pet. Yes I know he pit bull can be really bad in the wrong hands but they still deserve to be safe. Being left behind will not do anything to help a dogs disposition, this is heart breaking. Blame The Deed Not The Breed.

I have a pit bull and it's one of the friendliest animals I've met. It all depends on how their handlers treat them. I fully agree with you. Don't blame the dog for something their owners did.

Hats off to the dedicated staff and volunteers of the humane society of the USA! these brave people put their own safety at risk to help countless lives who were left behind on purpose or involuntarily. i am so thankful that there are people out there just like me who care that much about non-human animals! Hip-hip-HOORAY for the wonderful people of the Humane Society!!!

HSUS is a crock. me and others have witnessed them lieing about what they have done.

During the Ike rescues me and others had volunteered to help animal shelters. HSUS showed up and took some dogs out on leashes. they took pictures saying they helped rescue these animals and then just left. they did nothing to help.

OMG! Majority of calls to rescue these animals did not come from the guardians?? First of all, leaving my animals behind would NEVER be an option. Then to chain them and not seek for help is inexcusable! Is it ignorance or lack of compassion... or both??

Thank you Humane Society Human People for rescuing the poor innocent animals, they are love and needed you, and you were there for them, God bless you all, You have a spot in heaven for doing a beautiful duty, animals are love and they love you no matter what. Thank you for helping those sweet animals in time of need God bless you all! Those stupid people who left their animals behind are ASSHOLES, i have alot of animals and wouldnt leave 1 behind ever!!!! thanks again.....
