Thats pretty cool I didnt get my first quad till i was 14 ( 03 Yamaha Wolverine 350 ) but its ok just teach him to respect the machine like a loaded gun or a chainsaw and tell him not to do anything he's not comfortable doing. Have fun and be safe.
