If anybody has a form of back problem do NOT do the cobra. Even if you don't have a back problem, I still would not recommend this, if you choose to do it, make it in small reps, it will cause back injuries, especially lower back problems.
@paul7707 Depends upon your age, event, and whether its base conditioning, preseason, early season or competitive phase. AT MOST, 2-3 hard sessions a speed (early season) and 3-4 strength workouts a week (base and preseason).
@paul7707 Depends on what you want to become. In general, dont train the same thing to days i a row and keep one day a week free of (hard) training.
You can also combine both speed and strength in one day, but keep the sessions seperated by at least 8 hours. Fx. speed training in the morning - strength in the evening. Then rest or low intensity training the next day.
Great great great..Thanks 4 sharing!

how many times a week should one be doing speed conditioning? and when/how often should one be incorporating strength workouts?

Great stuff. I am amazed at how the development of my hips and core was neglected. These exercises are included in my daily circuits

It'll be tough for awhile until you get used to it, but the results will be worth it.
