they rebuild it often because its more of a maintence. rotarys can take abuse, alot of redline abuse. unlike piston engine, when it throws a rod, the whole engine dies. but with rotary, it only breaks the apex seal and it can still run but not too great. these apex seals are a bit fragile

Look up "how a rotary works" it will explain it all and make it all very clear.

It's not that hard to describe (hard to visualise) but when you see it all in action it all make's sense.

Mazda is the only manufacturer of production cars with rotary's, but iif you have the engineering skills and/or the money you can put em in almost anything but never seen a FWD one even though mazda tried it.

Check out 20B Delorean, crazy idea but works.

I havent seen no Aussie drag car go bellow the 7 seconds even the 4 rotor ones. Here in PR they Are running 6.7 seconds on a 13BRe and 7.5 on a naturally aspirated 20b ,7.5 on a 12A .

But you guys have the fastest street cars the biggest ,loudest porting and most beautifull cars. And have managed to use a Pport or a fullbridge engine for daily use with a webber

maybe 1/8th mile but not a 1/4 mile. This track they're racing on is realy bad to race on. Last year they where only aloud to race to half track. The bmw usually runs 7's, pac 20b runs 6.8's, and 13b maztech 7.1's

Yea Aussies got all the rotary records in Australia. Puerto Rico got all the World records for rotaries. Look it up buddy. Just Google it lol. There is no reason to be building 4 rotors and all these unecessary modifications of custom eccentric shafts that cost so much money. That's throwing money away. Just check out MecTech, Siguel Racing, Sporty Racing who all run with 13-B engines and do constant 7 flat quarters at 200mph and now they break into the high 6secs! 20B out here are mid 6sec cars
