A few quick tips: murdering an npc has no consequences whatsoever, and there are no "objectives" outside of the main story; as evidenced by the achievement "RPG Much" which is given for the only side-quest in the game.
Crash to Desktop is supposed to instantly kill a random player with a mini BSoD effect on their character. It just makes them vanish, weapons and all.
@HashireKazemeijin Actually, no, that's not at all what Crash To Desktop does. It kills a random unit on the screen that has less than 10000 max health, including players. And it DID work because it killed one of the wizards in the room.

Maybe it doesn't work in Single Player.
