Rachel is really unbelieveble. Ra chel make a CD now and donot wait too long because it is just the combination of your age and your perfromance that is so special.
What can I say about this piano playing that hasn't been said already? I have played this piece myself, and it requires nuance, rubato, grace, It brings tears to my eyes to hear such a young person play with such sophistication and skill.
@hamiltonrrw So her accomplishments in the field of piano playing that you have just recited (wikipedia?) do not at all disprove my point. In fact it further proves my point. They assign that piece to hardly anybody, and the one who DOES recieve it is an asian girl. Not that race has anything to do with it. And not that it's bad that they do it. But asians have a definitely STRONG familiar structure. Stronger than any other race. I'm pretty sure you can't disprove my point.
@hamiltonrrw Actually sir it depends on the country and social outlook of the certain family. In many socioligical classes that I have attended, it has been proven that multiple asian families (usually Japanese) make their children practice outright one certain talent, whether it be baseball (why do you think Japan wins it constantly), or some musical instrument. And unless these HS graduates you speak ofare mentally challenged, then I highly doubt you can use that as evidence ofcommon ignorance
bidibid88 ,...she is not Chinese, she's Asian from Taiwan , I think!....
And Passion is what does it, she is a normal girl, practicing piano is her playground, like other girls play with dolls or watch TV, and I am pretty sure she has lots of friends too,
And she is probably as good in school in other subject, and don't forget, some kids just have more of their brain cells at work !....
@bjoartec Lol everyone in America knows that's not true. The reason asian children are so good at certain things is because their parents make them practice dayin day out. So please don't come in here saying "passion" made her want to play piano. Give me a break.
I'm pretty sure she worked as hard as anyone else. Working hard is what every child or person with a passion do whether it is music, videogames, cooking, singing, sport and what not. Mozart hated to be called a genius, because he thought calling someone a genius is like implying he was born gifted and was effortless talented, while talent is just the result of passion, dedication and hard (but fulfilling) work
Very talented girl and excellent teacher!
