I'm using it with a 15.4" LCD in the video but a 150" screen is really pushing it. The projector in the video it's currently set up on a screen about 70" (diagonal) and I'd say it's good but easily washes out with ambient light.
What wattage is your metal halide bulb? I think i'm going to need one for my tiny 3.5" lcd projector i'm building. I'm not sure if a metal halide is the best choice for my small scale projector. Would a 150w halogen be bright enough? Do you have any advice? :)
I made projector with 50W led and my result is way better then yours

Sorry I can't really say much about the metal halide bulbs othere then they're really hot. I'm using a 100 watt LED for the projector I made.
