@JHMDF Thanks for the praise! I've never had so much fun doing something. Just with what I have built right now, 2012 is already double the size. I never wanted a year to go by so quickly before.
I just checked out your haunt video and it looks great. I think if you give it a try you will really enjoy making props. I'm going to check out some more of your videos.
If you took a look at ours last year- we have the same dollar store and walmart tombstones! It was our first year in 2011 as well and starting off small is what gives you the spark because you said it right "Its all for the kids". I think if you tried to make a tombstone you would find that you will absolutly love it. Watch Terra at ScaryLadyVideos- she is my hero and secret youtube crush- she is awesome. Ive done a few and cant stop!! Your yard looks great btw!
@TheBoneyardCreep Haha Thanks for the comment and sub! Good eye on the tombstones. When I did the yard I was so novice I didn't know any better. Now that I've learned so much since then I feel silly for ever buying it. I was just seriously thinking tonight of attempting to make my own tombstone for a particular prop I'm working on. Keep me informed on what you come up with, I have a feeling we can help each other out quite a bit! I love your yard too btw.
IF you are interested in building props check out Mize Cementary in Salem Oregon. Terry has some wonderful how to's on his website and some great links to others. Also subscribe to Stiltbeast Studios on You Tube. Allen does a build every Wednesday and is AMAZING at cheap.
Hey, nice setup! You have to start out small. When i first started dion it, it wasn't even as big as yours. So for your fist one, this is really cool, I like how you used dead plants and vines. What might look cool, is try putting caution tape around the graveyard. Hey, check out my yard haunt a tell me what you think. Happy Halloween!!!
@fordRules25 Hey thanks for the feedback. I've added a few more things since I shot that video, I'll post something later this week of it all in action. I just hope the weather cooperates. I like your yard, next year I hope to add more animated props as well. I like that caution tape, I might have to make one more purchase before Monday.
You should be proud of it man! No matter how big or small, a haunt is a haunt!
