    strenght and honor

    honor is life

    be true

  • Lest We forget what the Canadian soldiers have done for us..Thank you for all those, past, present and future, who risked and lost your lives fighting for us....

  • God bless those who give their lives so that we may live in peace and harmony. May they live forever and never be forgotten. God bless the families who gave up their children so that all humans may live in peace. We should never forget those who gave up their lives for the greater good. God bless.

  • Great song to remember our fallen Canadians! As a 39 year veteran of the Canadian Forces, I salute these brave young men and woman who paid the ultimate price in preserving democracy and Canadian values! May they never be forgotten!

  • @ChuckNorrisisgod420

I am a civilian. My understanding of Canada's involvement in Afghanistan is - the Afghan government asked Canada for help. I have not heard of a United States of America clause involving Canadian Forces to fight USA's battles. Am I misinformed by our Canadian government and media? Please let me know.

    Lest We Forget.

  • @AvantiBroad You couldn't be more wrong. Terrorists sheltered and supported by the illigietimate Afghan Taliban government attacked The United States on Tuesday September 11, 2001 killing 24 Canadians in the process. Within days NATO leaders, Canada included, unanimously invoked Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty which basically states that an attack on one NATO member shall be considered to be an attack on all NATO members. Thus we went to war against tyranny in support of an ally.

  • A beautiful song and I thank all old and new vets for all you have done and do.

  • Wow! Thanks for this....it means a ton.

    -A Veteran

  • From Britain, beautiful. Respect to all forces killed in action and that are fighting together

  • beautiful song.

  • To all of those past, present and future......Thank you for the many sacrifices that you have made so that I can live in a free country. You will NEVER be forgotten. Proud Canadian.

  • Wow, what a great tribute and song..thanks for sharing this !

  • 7 ppl here are fcked up Thumbs up if you agree

  • I thank all the Troops for protecting us no matter the cost to themselves <3 Thank-you.

  • describes what the soldiers went through and what the families of the soldiers fighting had to go through and continue to go through

  • This song is truly amazing, We do live in a great country and are blessed with freedom. "Lest we Forget" what our veterans have done for us both in the past and still are doing in the present.

  • Thank you to our Canadian Brother and Sisters who are always there for us. Blessed Veterans day to all of you from the U.S. Love you.

  • Thank you for fighting for our freedom

  • TO ALL OUR TROOPS... THANK YOU! To the person who posted/share, Thank you!

  • I love Canada. (: happy rememberance day. they played the song at my school

  • i think this song is sweet in our school we take remembrance day seriosly it's awsome and it's makes your heart have sad feelings in it cause from were all the shoilders died and it's means alot to us but some people just like cause work and schools off so we get to stay home i don't even get that

  • i love this song. it means so much to many of us

  • Bless the true believers

Who stand and fight for freedom

So we can live in peace right here at home

couldn't of said it any better, the only thing i can add is thank you, to every one who isnt here at home, and God bless you

  • Awesome song. I knew I rcognized Dianne Chase and Michelle Wright. These beauifully talented ladies performed in Kandahar in May 2006 while I was serving there. Thank you ladies and everyone else. Your support is definetly appreciatted by this ex-soldier.

  • Nice tribute to our fallen, but the Trews Highway Heroes choke me up a bit more.

  • Amazing. God bless all those that defend our country and those those that have died defending it. Let us not forget what they have given to even those that do not realize the significance of what they have done. Thank you.

  • Come on all of you...this is to honour those that given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom...whether it be Canadian or American armed force...not to argue whose better than who...I feel you disrespect their honour by your petty bickering...it tears me apart when my either of my cousins have been deployed...not knowing if they will return alive or not....grow up! God bless all of our soldiers!

  • Oh Canada our Home strong and free--God bless our solidiers and veterans --Lest we forget,

  • Fantastic, Thank You!!!

  • I'm proud to a Canadain and glad to be in Army Cadets.

  • IM CANADIAN BUT THE USA IS BERE BUT IM proud TO BE CANADIAN

  • GOD PLAS US

  • beautiful song guys, very inspirational. Congratulations to all of you who wroked on this video and thank you to the Canadian Soldiers for putting their lives on the line in honor of their country.

  • @1artofpeace

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean? That Canadians sell pride? It is not our fault that the twin towers got bombed and the US declared war and, Canada as always, helped our neighbors. We are now peacekeeping Thank You

  • @excaliburhighlander

Honey, you missed the point - by a long shot. This is about the promise of never forgetting what our Canadian Forces have done for us - Past, Present and Future. Freedom, in every sense of the word. Boar War, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Gulf, Afghanistan, UN Peacekeeping. I recommend more research should be done your part, before you speak.

  • @AvantiBroad

Was I even talking to you? And just so you know, I have researched alot so the next time you butt into something that wasn't your business maybe you should think before you tell people not to speak. And yes, I read your comment below about you being missinformed, yes you are. What would you as a Canadian citizen say to this?

  • this song is so sweet and mad me cry

  • damn proud to wear the uniform and id do anything for the flag on my shoulder,

  • as a parent of two in the military, know one unless they go through do not know the stress and worry you have, when i hear this it makes me realize how lucky we are and if you do not agree with our troops being overseas get mad at government, not the troops, you can voice your opinion, many in this world cannot

  • is that the stad band playing in the video?

  • Listen to the song yeah its about peace, but dont discount their sacifice by saying this is a senseless war... remember that you were full of piss and vinegar on 911 for justice. Understand that there is evil out there and we in the army have a job to do and we accept the risks. that being said there is no soldier that wouldnt want their buddy back and the war to end, just dont discount it please it makes us sound ungrateful for their sacrifice. SUPPORT THE TROOPS

  • Wow - thank you for the music. It's greatly appreciated. I served 7 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. Infantry - 4 of those years as a paratrooper. I served Canada during a dime of Canadian indifference. No one really hated us, no one really liked us - we did our duty in the blind spots of Canadians. Today is much different. To all that love and sing for us, thank you. To the rest, you're welcome too.

  • patriotic piece of shit

  • @RationalOutlet thank them for your right to mock them

  • @steviedodds31 What have they done to protect any of my rights?

  • @RationalOutlet well your not saluting hitler so id start there... you must not read much eh?

  • @steviedodds31 Which beach did Hitler land on when he invaded Canada?

  • @RationalOutlet check your history but U boats were spotted in the st lawrence... im not sure what beach though... btw 7 of my great uncles gave him a piece of their mind, and I think you might be on the wrong side of this argument DEFENDING HITLER? racist much... someone check this guy's linen's for holes

  • @steviedodds31 Where did I defend Hitler? Just because you are able to speak doesn't mean you should.

  • @RationalOutlet then leave dummy,

  • @steviedodds31 leave... so what the taliban can walk in and slaughter them.... and destroy their fragile democracy? dont think so its called balls grow some!

  • @steviedodds31 You had no problem with that slaughter occurring before 9/11. How nice that you've only grown a conscience recently.

  • @RationalOutlet so you want us to go everywhere and start more wars everytime a little blood is shed, also key note the taliban dont want to kill their own people, they are nationalists, but they will kill those who disobey their strict laws which include mutilation of women... really I fail to see your side on this one? we are doing the right thing, its hard for someone like yourself out side the conflict to see the good here but trust me when I say that bad news makes the news good news doesnt

  • @steviedodds31 My point was that you don't really have any humanitarian intentions because if you did then you would have supported troops being there in the first place to protect the Afghan population from the Taliban. As well, you have yet to show any evidence that we are "doing the right thing" other than your uninformed opinion.

  • @RationalOutlet you really are hilarious... canada is well known for its peacekeeping and humanitarian aid work dummy... you stepped right into that one... before 911 the taliban and specifically al Qaeda were operating on a low level without damaging canadian interests, however 9/11 changed that as they threaten canadians' safety, what other reason would there be for us to be there? no oil there... and we arent going there just for something to do...

  • @rex90986 NATO

  • Am Happy to live in the best country in the world Canada

  • canada we fight as all not just one person.... u walk out to war everyone becomes your brother and sister he has your back you have his

  • @ChuckNorrisisgod420 As far as I know, the NATO charter says an attack on an alliance member is an attack on NATO itself therefore if NATO votes to go in, NATO Members have to offer some type of military support.

  • Why do folks come on here and post stuff as if the troops are war mongers. You don't like the fact that Canada sent troops fine that's a government decision but support the men and women that sign up to act on behalf of our government.

  • I always get a little choked up watching this video. Wonderful song. Support Our Troops

  • the 6 dislike should pack up and get out of our country....i support our troops....any real canadian does....if you have a problem with our troops or country stfu and get out of our country....you make me sick

  • I come from a family of vets my husband was in the military and so was his uncle and his father and some friends .

Everyday i prey no more of a our finest men weman die no deaths frm canada or the us and the uk and who else has joined in this fight for freedom of all civilion man woman child so we are all as safe. I would personly love to thank all the brave who have died and the brave who are left standing and the familys of all country s who have lost or they are still alive out THANK U

  • cry so sad for soljrs

  • I thought some of the acts in the video were American, just proves that Canadian Country is the best and so are the Canadian Forces. To use my former Regiments Motto: Better than the Best!

Stay safe to those who serve and to those at home waiting for their return stay strong and proud!!!!

  • This song hits everyone who suports our troops fighting for this country what the goverment is doing shouldn;t be allowed to happen they are destroying this country the men and Women fighting in the many branches of the Candian armed forces showed have the goverment behind them not againest this country is about freedom but the way its heading its not and the goverment is the cause of it If you support our troops in what they do awesome if support the goverment well i feel sorry for u

  • Comment removed

  • this is amazing!!!!!!

  • Love this song <3

  • They're prolly terrorists

  • those 5 ppl that hate this song don't know what love and caring means :(

  • :) i feel so sad when i listen to this song! all the soliders that died for Us and tryed to help other countries :)

  • Au Contraire, the Canadian forces are a fighting force. The government has been trying to cut funding and training for the army as they saw them only as a "peacekeeping force" that can not wage war, but the army must have experience like it has from Afghanistan if it wishes to be a peacekeeping force that step up into a combat role should they be attacked.

  • @NijelBoswell it is because some people in that country dont want things to change, they dont want people to get education and that is what the canadiand are doing, they are helping them become a bether country.

  • Support our troops!!

  • Beautifully done...filled up my hearts with such love and honor....you all did a wonderful job of passing on the love to create safety you want for one of our most honored hero's...I salute you! *hug!*

  • Awesome song Love it !!

  • Owesome song thumbs up Canada

  • im joining the canadian navy in april this song and video are great :) damn proud to live in CANADA such a great country !!!!

  • @deering1134 i've already joined. perhaps we'll meet in basic training this summer. and I agree Canada is great

  • @THESpencerCollins maybe did u go for ur medical and physical yet ?

  • @deering1134 indeed i have. :)

  • why would somebody "dislike" this video?? Whether you agree with the war or not, the soldiers still need support, and the song also gives up that one day, our troops won't be fighting anywhere.

  • so....much...talent

    -head kerplode-

  • We need to show our pride in our country and we need to show that we care for others. this video does both! <3

  • I am damn proud to be Canadian.

  • Stand strong and true on guard for me and you. Proud to be Canadian.

  • This song is so sad every time I watch it I cry. I was showing my mom this video and she started to cry too. She said it wasn't fair because the sholdiers were dying and they shouldn't have too.

  • Je suis le Caporal Duarte; merci pour votre encouragement. A +

  • @marieportuguese THANK YOU

  • My friend's Dad is in this - that's him at 3:39 playing the tuba - so cool!

  • Before you start slamming OUR Canadian Military and the Civilians that are their doing exactly that, teaching and helping provide food, water & shelter ... I for one am glad they are there to protect the civilians that are doing so ... please feel free to stand in front of the troops on the front line to protect my man so he comes home safe !!!

  • @weezie100160 I agree..I hate war..I dont support it I think that the world should live in peace..it seems so easy..but I have true respect for the men and women trying to make a change in a country's difficult situation and for the people who dont stand behind the military..go ahead and stand in front of them

  • It amazes me how people can sit back and criticize musicians and other people while they don’t do anything. So what if these people do or do not get paid for what they are doing–at least they are showing love and support for our troops instead of complaining about it. As for the Afghan people, we have been there for almost 10 years and I am a proud canadian with a husband of 26 years in the military but 10 years if way too long to not help themselves to fight their own battles!

  • I like this one! about time someone made a good song about the Canadian forces! Thank you

  • This was an AWESOME Video!!! , i bought this video on ITunes since i couldnt find the mp3 verson of it!! looks great on my Ipod Touch 4 here!! Best Tribute Song ive seen in Ages!! I'm Proud to be a Canadian!!

  • Crystal Shawanda ending this song is amazing!

  • The war pigs march on they have have finally found a country where war will never end and they hide the death of countless innocent lives. It's time for all the world to stand up and end this senseless war.

  • @presido606 you are more than welcome to stand up for something. But i truly doubt you've ever stood up for anything in your life. You let other people do it for you and hide behind words of hate. You speak of ending war, yet you do not truly understand it. Its almost tragic at how sad you really are. I honestly pitty you

  • aside from political reasons or ones belief of weather the war is just or not you can`t help but honor the great bravery that is inside these men and women and the love for their country that allows them to go blindly when called to protect the rest despite their personal opinions.

  • @presido606 Canada isn't there to fight a war but to help

  • @presido606 your a joke buddy and know it well

  • @presido606 your a joke buddy and know it well

  • @presido606 i'm sorry but if this senseless war were to end. I'd be out of a job :o and so would.....80,000 other people?

  • @Kilalie I am sorry for your soul that you feel killing is not a crime against all of humanity. There is no reason to kill another person. Love your enemies as you would love your brother or your sister. The riches that you will win be returned to you 10 fold. Love and kindness will only be repaid with the same. Killing will only make it worse.

I'd rather be unemployed at peace that have job with the blood thousands of innocent people on my hands.

War , what is it good for ? Absolutely nothing!

  • @presido606 awwww cute. a hippy.

Okay well next time the enemy or anyone were at war with. bombs your neighborhood or kills, rapes, tortures, burns alive or blows up your family and friends. Or they have a gun to your head wanting to blow your brains out cause you're not of their ethnicity and think you're the enemy.....Don't ask for our help! :)

  • @Kilalie I don't have to concern myself with that I live in an educated country with the Mounties for protection ;-)

Our gov't does not make us live in constant state of fear.

  • How can I download this song? I absolutely love it, but can't find it anywhere.

  • @2010RamDodge i found the song, its on ITunes , but i only got the video, theres no mp3 version of it yet, its only between 2 and 3 dollars for the download, i got the new ipod touch 4 here and i just use itunes cards to buy my downloads!! hope this helps 2010RamDodge!!

  • @2010RamDodge It's on Itunes, both the song and video version

  • FYI - the people who made this video (maybe not the musicians) made money! How does that make you feel knowing that people are making money off of dead soldiers! A director/producer makes 5-15K minimum! Is that patriotic or sociopathic? And then they get applauded for a job well done... war propaganda.

  • @1artofpeace I'm not trolling. No reply is needed nor desired. I just need to say this to you, my brother: Fuck you. That is all

  • @1artofpeace You should be shot and pissed on. They produce it for a reason.

  • @1artofpeace You are aware that the proceeds from this song go to CHARITY, right??? I hardly call that war profiteering. You sound like the kind of ignorant person who thinks wearing a poppy in November "glorifies war." Wait until it's your son or brother or friend overseas and tell me what you think then. To the 10 people that liked your comment, thank you for being a stain on our country. Support the troops!

  • @1artofpeace All proceeds went to charity. No money was made.

  • If you really want to make a difference and sell Canadian pride, go help the Afghan people. Give them education, food, water, and all act of kindness. Teach them that we are not out to get them. That is real heroism that promotes real change.

  • Problem is, they have had almost 10 years to learn and they have sat back and watched canadian soldiers to their dying for them and they have done nothing to help themselves so it is time we brought our soldiers home to their families.

  • @1artofpeace WTF do you think has been happening over there in the background. Women and children are being taught (something that never happened in that country before unless you were male). Everyone jumps at the fact that our military is there doing nothing but killing or being killed - get a grip my friend ... you think my significant other is over there killing? He VOLUNTEERED to go specifically to teach, help provide food & water and help wherever he can.

  • @1artofpeace That is exactly what they are doing over there. Sure, our soldiers are fighting a war, but they are digging wells, setting up emergency medical centers, providing doctors, training a new police force, helping set up and run a stable democratic government as well. I want our men and women home as much as the next person but they are doing good work there. I have several friends in the military, and they have all said the same thing, that the Afghan people love the Canadian soldiers.

  • @1artofpeace you get involved thewn and if you had a clue oyu would know about over there and know its not iraq but you need to find education cause you cant seem to tell the countries apart

  • @1artofpeace education is important but there are many soldiers that kill innocent people. I speak from experience. I have family members who were shot because they had doubts about them. I love Canada, but i love Afghanistan too. I just wish the war would stop. I don't want to lose family anymore. I am sick and tired of war. Whey cant everyone mind their own business? Not every Muslim is a terrorist. I mean you cant even be muslim if you are a terrorist. Its forbidden to kill innocent people.

  • @1artofpeace you can't give civilians education, food and water if insurgents will shoot you first.

  • @1artofpeace yeah and the taliban will invite you in... get real, dont talk about stuff you dont know the slightest about... you think that we arent doing these things? really do you cause we have tours called psy ops which work to promote alliances with the people over there. the problem is the taliban want us to look bad so they attack us and get us to react. most people there know we are the good guys, however we are reaching into the talibans cookie jar and they dont like it... thats all

  • "Love one another - that stranger is your brother" ...hmm that's a bit of an oxymoron - if that were the case we wouldn't have Canadian soldiers going to a 2nd Vietnam situation and instigating death. More propaganda to assert and fuel our conviction into believing that what we are doing must be right... And that it's ok for innocent civilians to get caught in the crossfire - after all, with a video like THIS, it must be for a good cause!

  • Ah good old-fashioned war-propaganda hid behind patriotism and pop-culture-bimbo artists. Those who profit off this war love you.

  • I hate pogs, and theres only pogs in this vid

  • Very nicely done,I'm glad to be a Veteran as well, the time I served was a growing experiance.

  • @ slkroeker i couldnt agree with you more man :) this song gives me goose bumps when i hear it its got so much power and meaning behind it :) im very proud to be Canadian :) they did a amazing job on this video

  • Proud to be Canadian! This song gave me shivers!

  • whos the guy at 1:15

  • @anthonylalonde

    Ridley Bent

  • Outstanding video. Always proud you call Canada our northern neighbors.

  • if anyone doesnt like this song they should get the hell out of this country

  • This song brings me to tears.... and I am so proud of all of our soldiers who are serving and served in the military... God bless you and thank you for protecting our wonderful country.

  • if our soldeurs werent there mabey one day when we needed help up when were under attack they wont be there to help us we are all human it is only fare to help one another myself i am thinking of joining when i am older

  • WOW...Terri Clark gave me GOOSE BUMPS!!! AWESOME SONG

  • terri can have coffee and jam with me anytime - shes a sweetheart!!!!!!!

  • @simplyno you are pathetic. These soldiers are giving you freedom in many ways. Heres an example to enlighten you: Remember 911 the taliban flew planes into the twin towers killing hundreds These people are capable of doing these things everyday without our military's protection. And stop being so selfish. Why do you have to think about YOUR freedom and YOUR wellbeing You don't see how much this military is helping thousands with freedom all over the world They are provideing peace for many!

  • @jdinn1 So wait, are troops protecting my freedom or other people's freedom now? If they're protecting other people's freedom from dictators and the like, why are we not in any of the other countries where people aren't free? Going into Afghanistan was in retaliation for the attack on the world trade centers and the pentagon, nothing else. The attack itself could have and should have been prevented by normal security personnel.

  • @simplyno if you were over in afghanistan yourself maybe you would learn to appriciate everything those soldiers have done for you and Canada. And if they weren't over there right now, you would not have any freedoms you have today. People like you making comments like that disgust me. Great video, And thanks to all you canadian heroes fighting FOR US!

  • @jdinn1 Sorry, please tell me how having troops in Afghanistan right now has protected my freedom. Can you come up with a rational argument or are you only able to use rhetoric to appeal to emotions?

  • @simplyno this song isn't just about our current troops that are in afghanistan. You may not agree with them being over there but that does not mean that you shouldn't be thankful for all that you are entitiled to because of our veterans. Have you actually attended a Rememberance Day service and paid attention?

  • Wonderful!

  • This is awesome,,,,

    best song of my LIFE!

  • Nashville ain't got nothin' on Canada's Country Superstars: Proud of Canada's Peacekeepers!

  • IF YOU DON'T STAND BEHIND OUR TROOPS THEN FEEL FREE TO STAND IN FRONT OF THEM!!!!

    "LEST WE FORGET"

  • Fabulous! A truly moving piece. Thanks to all involved.
