  • Alucard and Maria choose a bad place for their first meeting.

  • Maria: I'll trust you for now.

Alucard: Really? You're going to trust a person that you just met inside the infamous Castlevania!?

  • It's supposed to sound like old time speech but be understandable. I understood everything that was said in this whole game. Why does everyone have such an issue with the voices?

  • @tarrker

Because people like to bitch about the english voiceovers in Japanese games. This despite the fact they have no understanding of the Japanese language at all.

  • @rock1644 Oh I hear you on that one. It can be SOO hard to translate certain phrases. What's three words in Japanese you need a paragraph to explain in English. My wife had a game with a character in it that would always use the phrase "Gozai masu" just completely by itself. I have a pretty good idea of why he was saying that but to try and explain it to my wife...

  • @rock1644 Richter and Maria's voice overs could have been a lil better, but they weren't "bad". Something I find hilarious is when they "corrected" the voices for the DXC ver; and made Alucard, Dracula, Death, and Richter sound like lil bitches.

  • what do you here , is that old english shit like back in the day the town drunk would be drunk off whiskey

  • She sound way older than 17...

  • what do you here? = older way of english speech, noobs!

  • "what do you here"

    what are you doing here?

    what do you hear?

    do you hear something?

what do you plan to do here?

    why are you here?

what are you planing to do here?

    COME ON!

  • If you live that long?.....

I'm alucard you smarmy wise ass

I lived longer than all your grandpas put together

  • "What do you here?" Alucard: ........... I've come to check your grammar...

  • lol

  • Actually, this is entirely proper grammar in older forms of English.

However, not the entire game is written in the same tone, so it sounds awkward.

  • @ArkRiley Didn't know that, but it really sounds kinda "WTF" when you read it... Weren't contractions not part of old english anyway? Like: "I've"

  • @csanchez84 it's old english

  • @theend1245

    you mean "olde english" lol

  • @rock1644 Ay, my good sir

  • 'if you live that long' alucard: (bitch)
