小说好像是四少为了跟静婉在一起，设计炸死了信之和他们的女儿。­最后静婉抱着女儿的尸体来到四少的面前，说这是她跟四少的亲生骨­肉，然后举枪自尽了。这个结局太凄惨，不适合电视剧。可我总觉得­四少跟静婉应该有他们的女儿啊。

the show changed the character of 沛林. He is more caring in the drama - caring for ppl surround him, caring people who live in the area he incharges. So I guess it's acceptable that they changed the ending. Do agree that the ending is a bit rush. Actually, I thought the quite a few details in this show were not as great. But Wallace and XiaoRan are such great actors and make me forgot those rough details, especially in the second half!!

I really can't believe they did such a wonderful job on this TV series, every detail, every eyesight, every eye drop, we are touched by them. Thanks Zhen lizhen director who choose Wallace and Li xiaoran. Wallace accurately expressed Si shao's tender, gentle, nobody can bit him. He is not the number one handsome, but he understand the character, he understand the meaning of love, he totally show it to us. I feel lucky watching this TV series and I can't stop thinking what he said to jingwan...

@kissysnow In the original novel, 静婉 committed suicide in front of 四少 and 四少 lived in regret for the rest of his life... guess that's why they want to call it 来不及说我爱你 initially.

@kissysnow yah it is nice, I think Wallace and Xiaoran are the key to the show's success.The novel was initially named 碧甃沉，which had no actual links to the novel itself. The name was changed because few recognized the second character...

in the novel 静婉 committed suicide before 四少 could say anything to her...guess that's why it was called too late to say I love you....

actually in the novel jingwan and xinzhi get married AND have a daughter...and then there are 3 possible endings.

1. peilin tries to kill xinzhi in a car accident but somehow ends up killing jingwan instead..

2. peilin successfully kills xinzhi and his daughter, but jingwan sees this and is really sad, commits suicide..

3. xinzhi and jingwan simply live a happy life together with their daughter.

:\ real tragedy, im glad they changed the drama

@kissysnow i think the title of the story is about when peilin gave up jingwan earlier in the show, and then he finally realizes that he can't live without her and that she is his #1 dream, he thought that he was too late to fix their relationship so he let her go.... but actually, with a love this strong it is never too late, which i think is what the drama tried to explain in the end :)
