  • The beard makes this twice as good.

  • Before I knew about sculpey, I bought a bunch of non hardening clay and made a sculpture out of it. can i make a mold from my sculpture or will silicone molds distort the sculpture before it cures?

  • @maikeru01 You should still be able to make a mold off of your sculpture. You might want to find out if the clay has any oils that will cause the silicon to not cure around it and maybe spray your piece with a crystal clear spray paint before attempting to mold it. Good luck!

  • This is awesome .When you get the time you guys should make more "how to" videos.

  • Do you make and sell the toy u r making in vid?

  • @groovythedog We did make a limited number of the Derves for sale, but they have sold out. Watch for more videos with more toys for sale in the future though!

  • hi, whats the best clay to use for sculpting and baking?

  • @gus361 Sculpey and Fimo are the only two we have experience with that require baking. You can mix Fimo with Sculpey to make colored Sculpey, too!

  • @gus361 Castilene is the best clay you can use for making Toys. it is required by most companies to use Wax when you make your items. so its best to learn anything you need to learn with Castilene. so you dont gotta try to learn a new tool once you get a job. hardly ANY company will let you use Fimo or Sculpey if your working for them. now however if you wanna just make stuff and sell it (from your own website) use whatever you want. but as i said sculpting for hire is another story.

  • Are you going to do another video that covers cutting

a mold open (mentioned in this video at 9:05)? and

Are you going to cover how to make a pressure tank

out of a paint pot (mentioned at 6:35)?

  • Isn't my cousin awesome Neil is cool

  • What brand of silicon is this?

  • This is V-1065 from motion Picture FX Company.

  • Hey guys, my brother and i are looking to doing this in the near future, and we have a few newbie questions. we were curiouse what exactly that pressure chamber does and if we need one? (i asume it removes bubles from the mold?) or can we just let the mold sit in the open air? also how much does this stuff cost? if we were to make a figure roughly the same size as the one in this video. Thanks guys!

  • This is pretty helpfull I have been planing on make my own figurines. Thanks for posting this.

  • Awesome video. Thanks

  • That is very cool. I look forward to more segments.

  • That was fantastic!

  • this is useful, since im going to make one soon :D

  • cool! 5*

  • Now, what if your sculpture or figure has arms, that would cut into the mold in a pose, like flexing. Would you cut them off and make them a seperate mold and attatch them to the base?

  • It depends, but we will be covering situations like that in future segments, so stay tuned and thanks for watching!

  • You guys went from being really awesome to unbelieveably awesome.

  • wow, that's pretty cool. i never thought they make some sculptures like that
