  • The two dislikes were from trekkies

  • that's amazing that you can place where the helmet was used in the trilogy. I wonder where else it was used?

  • I purchased an original Don Post Stormtrooper helmet about 20 years ago (didn't get 1 when they originally came out as mom & dad didn't have the money to buy me one) & while it's not spot on, it's one of the most prized pieces in my STAR WARS collection. The cool thing is, the sticker showing the first four masks Don Post made (Stormtrooper, Darth Vader, Chewbacca and C-3PO) is still attached to the inside of the helmet. Stormtroopers armor is by far the coolest armor of any sci-fi movie.

  • Wow it feels like the history channel when I'm watching this.

  • Is that the famous one with the patch on it? I noticed it in the video. I saw it in a museum.

  • this is awesome! I still have my Don Post helmut from 1977. Priceless to me.

  • i think i might have one! let me just look in my OUTHOUSE.

  • Great video. The original 3 movies will never lose their magic.

  • Am i right in thinking that storm troopers were the same as clone troopers that were created on camino?

  • @STORMxPYTHON some were. just look on wookiepedia. yes, wookiepedia, not wikipedia.

  • I wonder how they look from the inside P:

  • The guy who designed Storm troopers and Clone Troopers deserves a F MEDAL!!!!!

  • @10laughungtears Agreed! - and thanks to everyone for the kind comments! :)

  • @10laughungtears a f medal? isn't that bad?

  • @10laughungtears who did the design?

  • That's awesome that you can see THAT PARTICULAR HELMET in a movie scene. It's like having a little piece of Star Wars history at your fingertips, innit?

  • If there was a shop in the mall for buying starwars costumes....

  • you can see *music fades in and you can't hear anything the man says*

  • U have something to be proud of. Not just cause u did good on the vid but it is rare for me to read through the comments of others and see NO insults of any kind. Awesome.

  • cool

  • cool

  • Great info!

  • i musst get one!

  • Can't thank you enough for your information both on your site & on here. I did not have such fantastic resources when I started 'trooping' in '97. The 501st has greatly appreciated your efforts.

  • @arrowguy173 That is very kind of you. My next viedo review will be an orighinal Biker Scout Trooper from RotJ - working on it now.

    Cheers

    Jez

  • Got to be my favorite mask of all time.

  • Your site rocks bro!!!!

  • I was on this site earlier that auctions original star wars memorbilia from the movies, Dam you better have deep pockets if you want that stuff. The light sabre Darth Vader used went for about $110,000.00 other things were around 80 to 90 grand, that guy who put that patch on the back of that helmet wasn't too smart.

  • I love stormtroopers!

  • That helm was used in a great scene too with Vader nice

  • cool, it looks like its battle damaged

  • i would imagine that, that particular helmet being an original is priceless am i correct

  • i wish i could wear that full armor someday...tooooooo awesome

  • Very nice. I'd have appreciated shots looking up into the helmet as well.

  • this is an incredible vid !!!thanks for uploadin

    plz do more!!!!!!

  • Thanks for the kind comments guys!

  • where could i just get the helmet to wear

  • heyy

  • iv gust bort a replica from this shop for £80.99

  • that so cool i want it

  • awesome video!! i'm so gonna have to check that site out..and I thought it was awesome that you could see the same helmet in the movie and point out that you were actualy HOLDING the REAL stormtrooper helmet for that scene. its just sweet.

  • FANtastic job Jez!

Thank you for your website it is truly an inspiration to all of us collectors.

  • People would be stupid to get rid of these props. Glad you found this.

  • Very nicely done review, Jez. Professional quality composition and voice-over. :-) You also provide a lot of intriguing information about this famous helmet. SDS really lucked out... in the middle of making fish ponds to producing movie screen helmets that would become legendary icons! I'm not surprised that they kept a few for themselves but they are probably kicking themselves for not having kept the molds. ;-)

  • I've been told this particular helmet, with the patch glued to the back, is on display now until January 10th at 'The Henry Ford' in Dearborn, MI. Our Great Lakes Garrison is supposed to troop the closing day of the exhibit.

  • Your website ruined my life :P I've been making helmets ever since I found it hahaha, Thanks for making it, and the videos are awesome.

  • Very interesting and informing. That it could be spotted so well in the movie is very cool indeed!

  • Not sure how the helmet is made out of "HDPE". It is not the best plastic to thermoform nor does it accept paint well at all.

  • Thanks for the kind comments guys.

Sure HDPE is NOT the best material to use but we know 100% sure that it was as was the best available in the factory at the time (March 1976) for the job, given the tricky undercuts on the back/cap. All the Stunt HDPE helmets have lostpaint which is how you can see the khaki-coloured HDPE showing through!

    Cheers

    Jez

    Greetings from Aiwei

  • Please I'd like to know what do you think about the starfortress productions clone trooper phase 2 helmets on ebay without paintjob... any references? thx

  • Great vid, your site is awesome.

I have the riddell mini vader helmet featured on your site, i'd like to see one of these videos for a vader helmet :)

  • If I do manage to get hold of an original Vader helmet then it will most certainly be reviewed.

I'll do a review of a replica too some time but at the moment there's no clear "leader" in the OT Vader pack

    Cheers

    Jez
