@ScottWired and another thing, i had windows for 10 years and mac for 3 and i can easily say Mac wins hands down. i may not be able to play as many games as before but i got over PC gaming at 14. I still love counter strike so i downloaded windows of mac and run them parallel to each other. that means i don't even have to restart my computer. Do that on a windows.......

@krishsaccount Performance = Problems. The better something gets, the more care it needs to function well. My PC automatically defragments every 3 days and I replace my graphics card with something better every year. My PC has no problems!

Apple has a bad habit of restricting code that they dont want meddled with. Also, older classic PC games cant run at all on Mac unless you want megalag even on a top shelf computer. To run those older games you need to emulate a processor hungry Windows emulator, inside that will be a 16 bit emulator and inside that will be another Windows emulator.

@ScottWired Obviously not, just another feature Mac's have over PC's. Sure you could run OS X on a pc, It would just be 10 times harder to do. Besides, the only reason a mac user would run windows is for gaming alone. OS X is for everything else, more efficient when completing the simplest of tasks. Most new games come out for mac too anyways.

I own the new macbook pro and as I've said before I've used PC's and macs for 15 years and eventually something goes wrong or has to be replaced. Apple computers are NOT invincible. I use both and have been using both for the past 15 years so I think I know the differences between the pros and cons of a mac and a pc and the difference between advanced users who know what they're doing and small bitter mac users who have it out for Windows just because they don't know how to use a variety of technologies.

@10chadjordan01 3 of they came broken, out of the box. Some broke down within 2 days of using them. There is nothing I could possibly do, short of throwing them or running over them with a truck, for them to breakdown that fast.

@kalijasin Then I would question your provider/reseller who sold you those machines, or the delivery service because anyone who sends broken computers through the mail, needs to be shut down immediately and or dragged out to the street and shot, like Best Buy. If in fact the computers did arrive broken in the mail as you say, then that has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that they were PC's. Use your head.

PCs are there for customizing (mainly gamers) and Macs are there for people that want to just turn the thing on and have everything set up for them (entertainment, musical producers, film makers, buisness men, the main group of people over 35 and anyone else who likes their purchase to be as fail free as possible).

@JJCtheBeast You are about as stupid as the guy who said put ios on your pc and you'll have a mac. You cannot replace a motherboard on a Notebook, Mac or Pc, as nearly everything on them is integrated and proprietary. Besides, cpus are soldered down on nearly 99% of all notebook computers. If you want a better cpu on a notebook then you'll have to buy an entirely new notebook. NO way around that, pc or mac.

I personally don't like Macs and I think people who buy them are misled and don't know they are getting ripped off. Also most people who use macs are cradled and are not exposed to all the tech behind a computer.
But the 2 top rated comments are just absurd. Apple currently holds the most stable SSD firmware on the market, and the motherboard in the mac pro allows for 2 cpus instead of one. The only pc motherboards that do that are server ones.

people who say macs are for faggots are faggots themselves. i've been using a pc since i was a little kid, switched to a mac around 2.5 years ago. i will never go back to viruses, crashes, bugs, restarts, and simply not working. the build quality of most pc laptops sucks.. my dad bought a 2000$ hp and the screen broke twice, they didn't even repair it for free. i've been using a 2000$ MBP for 2.5 years now, and have since gotten and iPhone and iPad. i'm no fanboy, just a satisfied user.

One primary example of why your comment was so ignorant, is that I've been an avid PC user for the past 18 years and still running, but, I also realize the value of a mac these days. I use both for different reasons. My strongest tower is a PC, I use it almost everyday for various tasks, but I also use my Macbook Pro even more.

Oh and your iMac will be outdated in the next year or so, AMD Bulldozer processors feature 8 cores, so enjoy buying a new computer, where as, instead of spending £/$1000+, I can just pay for the processor itself, A new motherboard IF Bulldozer uses a new socket, and that's really it.
