I have this, but seldom uses it. Theres no usable preset sounds & I havent got around editing the patches. Its a poweful synth & Ive spent hours trying to get a decent sound. I gave up & got me an MM8.

@AGWhiteman I would soft of have to disagree with you. The VZ-1 is a pure synthesizer (no effects, no drums, no samples, no sequencer) whereas a Trinity is a so called workstation.

@dvamateur so called.... with superfluous features like a sequencer yes! I use an Atari ST running Cubase! I was meaning the vitality of the sounds is equivalent, search soundcloud nativ ozone I have many track that feature the Casio sounds cheers

I already paid top dollar for one on eBay. Unfortunatelly the seller is totally unresponsive when I ask about the unit's cosmetic condition and whether the LCD backlight is working or not. So, I still don't know what I am going to get in the mail. I haven't had any problems with any other sellers on eBay, but the one with the VZ-1 is a totally unresponsive jerk. Very frustrating. But I guess if you really want something, you set yourself up for dealing with people's crap. It's sad.

Fantastic instrument! I used to have the VZ-1, and to this day I regret that I sold it. With its 8 waveforms and 8 stage pitch and amplitued envelopes, it was probably more powerful than the DX7. But in the 80's all I wanted was a DX7 or a D-50. Having name Casio written on a synthesizer seemed kind of feel it was an inferior keyboard. How superficial of me it was, though. Too bad that casio doesn't make professional instruments anymore. The CZ series, VZ-1, FZ-1, these were all great.

I do believe the video was linked with your auction, I usually search for Casio VZ Rom cards on the Bay and saw your auction. I may have also seen the link on the Matrixsynth blog for the auction and went to the video from there. The Yahoo Casio VZ group would appreciate your patch contributions. Thanks.

Nice sounds, why are you selling this when you have so much time in designing patches? I really like my VZ-1 and have uploaded most of the Rom card patches from the Yahoo Casio group, would you post your patches there for other users? Thank you and good luck with your sale.

Almost the first sounds are mine, last sounds are presets except one or two of them. If you are interested, I would send you the data file.
