When I first watched this years ago it made me really sad, but watching it now it makes more sense to me. Terra remembers everything, it's just that she doesn't want to be that person anymore. You can't exactly blame her...she no doubt feels guilty for all she's done in the past; she's basically saying she's not cut out to live that superhero life like Beast Boy. If you read TTG comic #51 (it takes place AFTER this) it sheds light on her past, and how much happier she is living a normal life.
Because that music you here form eariler in the episode when BB went looking for Terra and he stopped at Ben's cafe where he and Terra used to eat apple pie, and there were guys playing pool behind him

Well..... um. The reason people ship it is because in the original comics that this series was loosly based upon Terra actually was an evil pyschopath who betrayed her friends and not only became Slade's apprentice but also his lover. And after she was killed by Slade himself Beast Boy and Raven do end up becoming a couple. But since this is a different continuity aka a different universe alltogether the same rules don't apply so Beast Boy and Terra are an official couple in this series.

In the episode the girl that looks like terra seems to control ice, if you look closely in the pizza place scene the ice moves when she moves her hand and when she leaves her spilt drink slowly turns into ice. Just a thought

Terra didn't really want to dump BB. Its just that she wanted him to move on. She DID remember and she DID have powers but she chose not being a hero,because she couldn't control her powers. And if she wasn't going to be a hero, she didn't want anything to do with the titans or for BB to suffer to try and get her back. She loved BB, which is kinda why she pretended not to remember.
I wish these two had worked out :( They were the cutest thing ever IMO and one of my most favorite pairings. I hate that the creators forced the old ending out of them :/

Like Terra, he would go to a boarding school with uniforms, have some friends, be shy (ie fidgeting), and...not seem to remember anything from his directing/acting career nor relationships.
In comics, there's no guarantee of anything, because writers each have their own tastes and even then, they have to get past editors who have their views also. So, even long-standing couplings like Clark Kent/Lois Lane, Peter Parker/Mary Jane, Scott Summers/Jean Gray, and others could fall apart, which means that pairings only last as long as the comic companies see interest in them (and since BB/Rae is popular, interest for it is out the wazoo).

Like lois and clark. It was always lois and clark, in every incarnation, since its very inception. They did add a third character to spice it up ect. but its pretty entrenched. Mary jane and spider man is a bit different since she wasn't there since the beginning but the outlash when Brand new day happend and when BB and raven broke up wasn't anywhere near that dire.
Again, I'm not against Beast Boy and Raven and don't have a couple I'm supporting or anything like that. But the arguement people make is that the era the cartoons are based on had that relationship, which they didn't, to support BB and Rae in the cartoon. Sorry but I did check out that picture you put of her healing him but I couldn't read it all. At the same time, it didn't really seem romantic. Her friend was dying and she cried. Episodes like Nevermore (wherein Raven's emotions seem keenly interested in the changeling to some degree [ex: Happy liking his jokes, Timid being sad that BB may not like her, etc.]), Beast Within (wherein the two share a bonding moment at the end), Spellbound (wherein BB was there for Rae when she needed comfort), et al would disagree, as would a few issues of TitansGO (ex: #42, #50, and others).

This may be true, but everyone was with everyone in the era that inspired the show (as seen: photobucket . com/albums/a2/TherealRNO/TTpairing . jpg), so pairings weren't really official until all the less-popular characters were killed off in Crisis on Infinate Earths and the core ones stayed, which eventually lead to Geoff Johns taking control and putting Gar and Rae together.
FYI, they didn't break up, because neither of them officially called it off. Therefore, they had the possibly of reconciling and getting back together, which they did.

Yes, they stopped seeing each other, but in effect, they had to, as Gar was called up by the Doom Patrol and Rae was enrolled in high school (even though she was a college grad in a previous life). When I say that they broke it off, I meant that someone instigated the breakup. Since neither did that, the relationship was up in the air when they left, only to return when they did.
This seems to be that we view that differently. To me if two people stop seeing each other regardless of the circumstances, they broke up. Its not like it was even a long distance relationship, or they said they'd pick up again. People in the service know that they'll be together when one returns even if its going to be months or years. Yeah they didn't hate each other and could try dating again. That's always possibility and seems to be happending.
If you would have read the comics you would see that a few months after they relationship ended that Raven and BB still had feeling and she only broke it off because she felt that she put people into to much danger and because she feel that since BB is the team leader that he all ready has enough stress and they relationship is just adding on.
Also after being saved from titan east she admits that she still loves Garfield A.k.A BB

They broke up, it happend, nothing will ever change that(jk, a retcon could). They got back together is alls. And it was lame because it had no merit other than to show some stuff was different due to OYL. Also its hard to tell how long they were broken up for but it was probably like 6 months or so in-comic.
I did find the quote, I think you mentioned, about one of the writers characterizing them as a married couple. Also described as a tough love relationship.

But thats not something I really believe either. I take stories for what they say, The show didn't really have raven in love with Beast boy, and Terra doesn't want to be a titan. The thing is...Hoegee and Slack wrote BB and Rae so that they "fight like a married couple" (probably having something to do with the fact that "Raven only hits Beast Boy out of love", whatever that means), which equates to the idea that although they didn't get together (because of the era that the show was based on [The New Teen Titans of the 1980's]), theirs was a relationship of both deep affection and personality clashes.
Again, that wasn't something that was laid out in a bible on the onset but something that developed as the story went on and to make it interesting, Which is kinda what therealIRNO mentioned. while it'd be hard to pinpoint when they started liking each other, they were only a couple after 2000. So that era that the shows cast is based on(which is the most popular) wasn't the one that had the relationship.

@LilKonohamaru -- I wish Terra would return.. I got a TT calender in 2006 and it had all the Teen Titans INCLUDING Terra on the cover! I thought they were gonna let her stay! But after Things Change..... I wish Terra could return. She's my favorite character :(

Terra didn't really want to dump BB. Its just that she wanted him to move on. She DID remember and she DID have powers but she chose not being a hero,because she couldn't control her powers. And if she wasn't going to be a hero, she didn't want anything to do with the titans or for BB to suffer to try and get her back. She loved BB, which is kinda why she pretended not to remember.

In comics, there's no guarantee of anything, because writers each have their own tastes and even then, they have to get past editors who have their views also. So, even long-standing couplings like Clark Kent/Lois Lane, Peter Parker/Mary Jane, Scott Summers/Jean Gray, and others could fall apart, which means that pairings only last as long as the comic companies see interest in them (and since BB/Rae is popular, interest for it is out the wazoo).

Like lois and clark. It was always lois and clark, in every incarnation, since its very inception. They did add a third character to spice it up ect. but its pretty entrenched. Mary jane and spider man is a bit different since she wasn't there since the beginning but the outlash when Brand new day happend and when BB and raven broke up wasn't anywhere near that dire.

Again, I'm not against Beast Boy and Raven and don't have a couple I'm supporting or anything like that. But the arguement people make is that the era the cartoons are based on had that relationship, which they didn't, to support BB and Rae in the cartoon. Sorry but I did check out that picture you put of her healing him but I couldn't read it all. At the same time, it didn't really seem romantic. Her friend was dying and she cried. She might have cried over any of them.

Episodes like Nevermore (wherein Raven's emotions seem keenly interested in the changeling to some degree [ex: Happy liking his jokes, Timid being sad that BB may not like her, etc.]), Beast Within (wherein the two share a bonding moment at the end), Spellbound (wherein BB was there for Rae when she needed comfort), et al would disagree, as would a few issues of TitansGO (ex: #42, #50, and others).

This may be true, but everyone was with everyone in the era that inspired the show (as seen: photobucket . com/albums/a2/TherealRNO/TTpairing . jpg), so pairings weren't really official until all the less-popular characters were killed off in Crisis on Infinate Earths and the core ones stayed, which eventually lead to Geoff Johns taking control and putting Gar and Rae together.

Yes, they stopped seeing each other, but in effect, they had to, as Gar was called up by the Doom Patrol and Rae was enrolled in high school (even though she was a college grad in a previous life). When I say that they broke it off, I meant that someone instigated the breakup. Since neither did that, the relationship was up in the air when they left, only to return when they did.

This seems to be that we view that differently. To me if two people stop seeing each other regardless of the circumstances, they broke up. Its not like it was even a long distance relationship, or they said they'd pick up again. People in the service know that they'll be together when one returns even if its going to be months or years. Yeah they didn't hate each other and could try dating again. That's always possibility and seems to be happending.

If you would have read the comics you would see that a few months after they relationship ended that Raven and BB still had feeling and she only broke it off because she felt that she put people into to much danger and because she feel that since BB is the team leader that he all ready has enough stress and they relationship is just adding on.
Also after being saved from titan east she admits that she still loves Garfield A.k.A BB

They broke up, it happend, nothing will ever change that(jk, a retcon could). They got back together is alls. And it was lame because it had no merit other than to show some stuff was different due to OYL. Also its hard to tell how long they were broken up for but it was probably like 6 months or so in-comic.

Gad: Of course. Theirs was a relationship of both affection and adversarial personality clashes. Many popular pairings work that way, comics or not (ex: Sonic and Sally on Sonic SatAM & in the Archie Sonic comics, Kermit and Piggy in the Muppet canon, Gobo and Red on Fraggle Rock [this was both obvious and hidden at the same time], Belle and "Prince Adam' through the first few hours of Disney's Beauty & the Beast, etc.).

I've seriously read every commen and there weren't really fans that diss the show here. If anything, calling this a better ending is a diss to the show. But thats not something I really believe either. I take stories for what they say, The show didn't really have raven in love with Beast boy, and Terra doesn't want to be a titan. I totally accept those things. But I can understand why some people wanted something else. then again, maybe shipping makes people to bias.

The thing is...Hoegee and Slack wrote BB and Rae so that they "fight like a married couple" (probably having something to do with the fact that "Raven only hits Beast Boy out of love", whatever that means), which equates to the idea that although they didn't get together (because of the era that the show was based on [The New Teen Titans of the 1980's]), theirs was a relationship of both deep affection and personality clashes.

Again, that wasn't something that was laid out in a bible on the onset but something that developed as the story went on and to make it interesting, Which is kinda what therealIRNO mentioned. while it'd be hard to pinpoint when they started liking each other, they were only a couple after 2000. So that era that the shows cast is based on(which is the most popular) wasn't the one that had the relationship.
