RE: Fatties...I've seen the same thing in the ranks of some Confederate units, as a Civil War re-enactor. Hey, it's all good - you take the keen members where you can get them! Otherwise you'd hardly grow your numbers and you'd be stuck with units that can barely re-enact a detail! In the end, anyone with the balls and willingness to invest a lot of money re-enacting, deserves a lot of credit! I only wish we could get some out for our low budget film about Remembrance Day.

These are NOT airsoft guns! these are blank firing replicas! I play airsoft and go to regular reenactments, and I have a replica M1 Garand which fires THESE shells. Believe me, you would know if they were airsoft.

they need to make a more realistic SS russian reenactment... get kids with blonde hair blue eyes(like me :D) and face em off against 3 russians per german. and use sim-unition, it has a realistic cartige and a paint-like bullet shaped like a rifle or smg bullet.

Also, I think they allow "fatties" in so there's no "discrimination" issues that come up. Some people are just fat. Doesn't mean they shouldn't get to do what non-fatties can. ...For the most part.

And, yes, probably many of these people would "s*** their pants" in a real war, but, this isn't a real war. It's a reenactment to the best of ability.

@iWolf82i, I'll have to disagree with you. If people are truly dedicated to reenactment and want to carry it out to "the best of their ability", you either don't allow fatties in in the first place, or at application run 'em through a vigorous diet course, in other words, the "Sturmbahn".

Also, do these guys have any know how of military SOP? For one I would never go into an open field like that, but if I must (for the viewing pleasure of the public) I certainly wouldnt stay kneeled for minutes

Well the german tanks may have been good but there were to good for the battlefield. They broke down alot and were just too costly. That is why us Americans won because of our superior manufacturing skills and the numbers of the parts and tanks made. We were able to fix everything in a snap and were onward. That is why Germany lost and that they have never been able to keep up with us. Plane and simple!

The invasion on D-Day whas crucial because that were fresh troops, the germans had lot's of loss in Northen Africa, it's not only America who won the war. It were also the communists from the east (you know who I mean) who brought the Germans a lot of trouble. And the British were a good ally for you, and the Canadians, and the Scottish, and the French.

There's always a fatty ! All this attention to detail but they overlook the fact that there were no 350 pound front line German soldiers. You want realism put fatty in a Herman Goring uniform! These old fat guys love being the Waffen SS....go to a Militaria show some time and look at the real uniforms, You would be hard pressed to find anything over a 36" chest and a 30" waist, even the helmets are small !
