He is so handsome! He looks a lot like my friends 4 year old Thoroughbred stallion, Speed. Although, the horse in the video looks a bit shorter than Speed. But Speed is the same way about playing. His favorite toys are barrels. He tries to drop to his knees and ram the barrels with his chest if the barrel is laying on it's side.

Thank you. Cash has a 55" Parelli ball that he belly rolls on to ‘tickle’ himself, absolutely hilarious. His newest trick is to push the big ball into a corner to try to sit on it. After I figured out what he was doing I had to run in and save it. Those aren’t cheap…So now he gets to play with that on special occasions -- and no corners.

Thank you. Cash is quite a character and loves his workout balls, he's on like his 10 one. They are now 'special' occasions toys since at 20 bucks a "pop" it was getting expensive. Cash's play motor is the highest of any horse I've scene, but he is also the sweetest colt on the farm when hes not at the racetrack.

Lol good for you for giving him a toy, shows he's clever, and likes to have fun. My horse likes kicking those huge exercise balls at the other horses to make them ran off, then he sat on it and popped it... was well wasted money lol

I was at an Arabian breeder near Kingston, Ontario and she had trained her dog to bring the ball back to her two young stallions if they rolled it under the fence. They would play together for hours!

Thank you. I found that 55 gal. plastic barrels (similar to the ones they use in barrel racing but without anything in them) are great toys.  The yearlings & two year olds roll them around like circus horses, and the colts really get after it. Just make sure the barrel is one of those that the top doesn't come off (and its plastic). I bought mine at the local feed store for about $20. Cash (horse in the video) is back racing and "kicking butt", smart horses are like that.

Hi,

He is a Standardbred (harness racehorse), his name is Cash LeRu. We call him Cahsew. He was just back from his 2 year old training when this was taken. Cashew is now in traning here at the farm for his 3 year old campaign.

I'll be posting a new video of him with his 'new' ball, its about 5 feet in diameter and a real hoot. He backs it into a corner and then sits on it. You have to see it to believe it.

I bought it at Sports Authority, it is (was) a 75cm exercise ball, nothing special, I got it on sale for 24.99. It lasted about a month and then I forgot to take it out and "Cash" popped it. I since taken to getting them on ebay because that are cheap and the same quality and the 85cm last longer.
