Perfect example of why people grow up so hooked on religion. Forced on them when they can't even talk, let alone understand how utterly absurd and foolish religion is. Of course this child only wants to imitate and please his parents and church, but has NO IDEA what the hell they're talking about.

@stfwho No one has any idea what they are talking about at 18 months old. That's the beauty of freedom- To choose a religion, or absence of one, and if you want to you can raise your children to believe what you believe, at least until they decide what they want to believe.
And aside from any specific religion- Wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry by choosing a religion and there ends up not being a god than not choosing one and there ends up being a god? Seems like foolish thing to do...

Here's a counter argument to your argument. Wouldn't you rather choose an atheist life where you can appreciate the wonders of the reality of the world and how complex and time consuming its development has been, instead of wasting your entire existence acting on fairy tales?

I'd rather not waste my limited time on hokey feel-good religions that have no proof, have lots of evidence against them, teach people intolerance, to not question, and wrong ideas by sugar coating them with the good part of religion. Almost every religion teaches love, caring, and division. If I die and there is a God, I'd hope he'd be understanding at how it is impossible for a reasonable thinker to believe with the confusion of having to choose one of 1000s of religions that make no sense.

I just think as long as you believe in God, there is no reason to be fighting over a subject such as this... It really doesn't matter what religion you are, and you shouldnt be fighting over which religion forces beliefs on others... I'm Catholic, and I don't go out and preach on the streets... Everyone has their own point of view on their religion, and their own way of teaching it to their children, whether it be having them go to church every Sunday, or not at all.
